It took a long time to accidentally get here today using my Android! Next time I turn on my smartphone how should I get to this application? Maybe it will be easy, I just don't know yet. I don't know yet how I accidentally got to the Mozilla screen a little while ago from some google entry line after a firefox selection. I screwed around with that line for hours, mostly asking the thing how to enter questions and I wasn't able to work the keyboard screen very well. I don't know how this great mozilla screen came up! Thanks in advance!

every time i install an update, I am sorely disappointed that all my tabs are permanently removed and there is no way to get them back. it is extremely frustrating, but there is nothing i can do. I hope I can recall the many sites I had tabs open for.

Hi

I just received an email message that I need to update my Mozilla app. Do I need to delete it from my Kindle tablet, or go to the Mozilla site?

I could not locate it in the Amazon Appstore.

Thank you

Two of my PCs have just two scheduled Firefox maintenance tasks; in one case they are named

Firefox Background Update 3080...9CB Firefox Default Browser Agent 3080...9CB

whereas in the other the first is

Firefox Background Update 3080...9CB S-1-....

On a third machine, there are three Firefox background update tasks, all of which do the same thing, with names like

Firefox Background Update 3080...9CB Firefox Background Update 3080...9CB S-1-... Firefox Background Update 3080...9CB S-1-...

(the S-1-... parts being the SIDs of user accounts that have used Firefox). Surely there should only be one such task, with the shorter name? Can I just kill the other tasks?

Also, I note that all of these tasks run using my normal (non-admin) account, which I believe is the reason why I get UAC prompts from Firefox on occasion. Other applications (and even Windows itself) seem to be able to update themselves in the background without requiring this - and I'm sure that was the case for Firefox too in the past. Is there any way to restore this functionality, please?

Second post trying to figure out what is going on.

I'm getting the notification that I need to update Firefox, so I click the "download" button which takes me to "https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?reason=manual-update", I select the "Download Firefox" button and after a few seconds I get a "Secure Connection Failed" message.

Usually I can just open Chrome and download the Firefox installer but today I'm getting an error stating that "download.mozilla.org" is using certificates from a different website.

Is the download site busted, or is this just a me issue?
