I started using the Firefox Relay extension and shortly after, I could no longer login to my Weebly website. So I deactivated the Relay extension and I still could not login. I then tried logging in with Safari and there was no problem. I suspect it has something to do with the relay extension, but I have no idea if this is the problem or if it is something else. However, when the extension is activated, the login name disappears off to the left of the "box" where you put the login name in. The message I get is "wrong login name". When I deactivate the extension, the login name no longer moves off to the left in the box, but I still get the error message. Regardless, now I cannot login to Weebly with Firefox!

Certain emojis are no longer showing up for me while using Firefox. They will show up as as little boxes with numbers and letters instead of the actual emoji art. This doesn't happen with all of them, only certain ones. I have attached a few screenshots for reference.

Also, I have attempted to fix this issue by changing my default fonts, disabling addons, etc. Nothing seems to work. When I use Chrome, I have no issues seeing these emojis.

Thanks!

It still works fine in latest chrome.

It seems that Firefox is deleting my old search history. How can I prevent this?

I've already tried the solution described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1079400 but without luck: e.g. places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages seems to be missing

All of the questions I've found on this topic are quite old. Any new ways of fixing it? (or maybe I'm doing something wrong)

My web sites use image maps (hot spots), usually on JPG plans of archaeological sites, which enable users to go directly to details of that part of the archaeology. This has worked perfectly for years. When Firefox 93 update installed itself a couple of days ago I started to have problems the render the site unusable.

If you display a page with a JPG with an image map it first displays correctly but if you scroll down the page and then back up to the image it is largely covered in black. Refresh clears it - until the next time - when everything repeats again.

If I take the image maps out the JPG works fine. If I swap the JPG for a new version i unfortunately still get the same issue. There are a lot of these JPG plans which are fundamental to the site structure and altering them is not an option. The JPG's are 1024x768 and 768x1024 or less in size.

Edge, Chrome and Firefox 92 work fine.

You can see this problem in these two examples https://pompeiiinpictures.com/pompeiiinpictures/RV/villa%20mysteries%20plan.htm (scroll to the bottom of the page and then back to the top)

https://herculaneuminpictures.com/Villa%20dei%20Papiri/Herculaneum%20Villa%20dei%20Papiri%20plan%20old.htm (see screenshot below)

Is there a fix to Firefox 93?

When I surf Youtube, Google, Facebook and anything on Firefox this following error happen every time. Please help me.

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.youtube.com because this website requires a secure connection.

What can you do about it?

www.youtube.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Copying Firefox Bookmarks

I had a Windows 10 machine on which the motherboard died. I had the machine fully backed up in a WindowsImage file.

Then I bought a new machine of a different make that came with the same version of Windows 10 Professional as I had on my old machine. Unfortunately, the restore program will not restore the file to my new machine. So to retrieve my many useful Firefox bookmarks I opened a VHD (mounting the file onto a virtual drive) and attempted to copy the bookmarks across to the proper directory in the new machine.

My understanding is that they are kept in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Overwriting everything in the new Profiles directory with everything in the Profile directory from my old machine does not work, and I cannot work out what to copy and where to copy it to as the directory structure and the folders it contains are very different on the two machines.

Does anybody know of a utility out there that will help me? All suggestions gratefully received.

Thank you,

NM

I have a website that uses GaugeMeter.js component. The text of the gauges are out of alignment (as shown in the screenshot) -- which never the case when it is opened with Chrome Browser (i.e. always centered and within the circle/arc).

Strangely, sometime it works well when I started to change the Firefox window width (it is a responsive page).

Anyone came across this? Any idea to solve this?
