I have gone into tools, Add-ons, and then clicked uninstall on "Search Toolbar" which is supposed to remove Bing toolbar, but as soon as I restart, the add-on window pops up and says a new add-on has been installed, and shows the Search Toolbar again. My homepage has been changed several times to "Bing.Zugo" or something of that sort. I can't find anyway to remove this, as Malware scans, and AVG scans have brought up nothing, and I can't find anything else in my Add/Remove Programs list, or in my Program Files, I'm running the most current version of 3.6 Firefox, and am running Windows XP SP3

I had an older version of Personas and upgraded to Personas Plus 1.5.3. My custom persona no longer works! I've tried many time to try to get it to remain in my browser. It doesn't show up in the menu after I have checked the box with show custom persona in menu and yes, I do know how to create a Persona of my own. I have the png images done correctly and the right size width and name of the Persona. Nothing! Right now I have a Persona that I myself designed a while back and chose to "wear it" on my Computer. I also did a search online and have noted other users are having problems as well. I am enjoying using Personas I also wanted to add. :-)

I have looked through all the different answers to this question I could find and I have done all the plug in updates as well as everything mentioned. I still seem to be getting the same crash report and i am not to sure how to fix it. Flash Player seems to works fine for some things but i can not get on to any youtube videos. Please let me know if you have any help for me

Hi i have been having problems getting a lot of functionality working in many websites in Firefox where there is no problem in IE. A particularly problematic is site is Twitter where most of the functionality doesn't work (All dropdowns, number of characters remaining disappears, can't tweet etc). On investigation this is being caused by the prominently advertised Firefox add-on "Ad-Block Plus" which i have enabled. (When i disable it, everything works). When i check the list of blocked items on the Twitter page there are none. Therefore this add-on is causing severe problems. I appreciate Ad-Block plus is designed to block items, but when it is not blocking anything on a page it shouldn't block functionality. I also appreciate Mozilla do not make or support Ad-Block plus, but my point is that you are encouraging users to install an add-on that ruins website functionality. There are a couple of add-ons that have an exclamation mark and warnings they are unsafe, i would suggest Ad-Block plus now has some warnings on it? thanks Richard

Want to update plug-ins as I've been getting script errors, usually involving chrome and what may be java script, advisories of virtual memory being too small, etc. Nurse indicates some "Up to date" in green box. Others indicate "unable to detect plug-in version. I click "research" and get myriad sites offering options I've no hope of understanding. Can you help? L

I have installed the latest version of Firefox without difficulty. I wish to have the add-on 'greasemonkey' to help run a script on a messageboard site. Recently, I opened Firefox and the add-on icon was not present in the bottom right of the screen, and I could not use the script on the messageboard. I have tried downloading the add-on again but it will not show on Firefox home page. The only way I can get the add-on is to uninstall F/f completely, download it again and then download the add-on. This works for only the current session. When I restart F/f another time the add-on has disappeared.

I need to use an old mac running os x 10.2.8. I need to run a decent browser so firefox. I installed version 2.0 as it appeared ok. I need at least flash 9 but all attempts to install have failed. Can anyone guide me please? My knowledge of macs is old and from a VERY long time ago ;-)

I updated java to version 6 update 21, but while the new version is present in 'add-ons' (java console 6.0.21), so is the old one.(java console 6.0.20). Only the disable button is highlighted so I clicked it and it's now disabled, but why can't I uninstall it?

I am running firefox 3.6.8 on linux. I have also installed jre 1.6. When accessing one intranet website, firefox keeps saying "this feature requires jva 1.6 to be installed on your system...". I have installed java 1.6. I have made following symbolic links already: 1. /usr/local/mozilla/firefox/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so to /usr/local/jre1.6.0_21/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so.

2. /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so to /usr/local/jre1.6.0_21/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so.

Emptied the cache. Restarted firefox. But getting same error message " this feature requires java 1.6 to be installed..."

This is a major problem. In response to my post on our computer club website, I learned that another individual in our computer club has had the same difficulty in that they, too, are unable to uninstall or disable the Yahoo tool bar.

I am running Firefox 3.6.8 on a computer using Win XP Pro, SP3.

Go to the search bar and delete any text in it. Now hit Enter. This takes you to the Firefox start page. I HATE IT!!! I don't want Firefox Google, I want GOOGLE Google. Is there any place where I can install a search engine where the default page is just plain old GOOGLE Google?

Also, please don't give me alternative solutions. Yea I know you can bookmark it and click on that. I know you can just set it to your home page, use google toolbar, or just type Google in the address bar. But I don't want any of that. I like to just hit Ctrl + K, Alt + Enter for fast access.

Since then, every web page that makes use of the Adobe Flash plugin shows me grey windows with the message "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed".

When I follow links telling me I can find out more I am taken to a Firefox Help page that shows an example of the same grey window with the same message. But there is a difference: directly under the "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed" message is shown a another message that says: "Send crash report". The Help page instructs me to click on that message because it is intended to be a link.

Unfortunately, on all the grey windows displayed to me on any site where this problem arises, no such message: "Send crash report" is present. So how can I send a crash report?!

just upgrade to lastes version off java u21. since doing so i've noticed that i know have two java consoles in my extensions 6.0.20&6.0.21 do i need to disable one of these?
