The menu bar keeps flashing about every 5-10 seconds. When it does it disrupts / interrupts whatever I'm typing, deleting everything I've typed when the flash occurs.

It also disrupts things like using a drop down menu. The menu is opened (aka dropped down) but when the flash occurs it collapses the drop down menu.

Also for example en typing; let's say I'm typing " Mary had a little lamb". After typing "Mary had a" the Menu bar flashes. When it does "Mary had a" gets deleted. As I continue to type not knowing "Mary had a" was deleted I look up and see all that's left is "little lamb".

It's constantly doing this even while typing this message / question.

If copy and pasting it'll clear the text I've chosen to copy so I have to go back and re-select it. And try to get it done quickly before the next flash occurs. But if the next flash occurs the same thing happens all over again.

I have no idea what's going on. Searched and searched and can't find anything. It's making Firefox almost impossible to use. Please help me?!

I'm using Firefox version 115.18.0esr It is up to date.

After a Windows 11 update, every time I play some video/sound and stop the playback, my whole computer audio doesn't work anymore. When I reset my computer, the audio comes back again. I tried using other browsers (Edge, Chrome, etc.) and other programs/applications, but this only happens in Firefox.

Any ideas on what can I do to solve this issue?

Здравствуйте, у меня возникла проблема: пользуюсь браузером с компьютера, в какой то момент , каждый раз при закрытии окна все аккаунты на всех сайтах разлогиниваются. Приходится каждый раз везде снова авторизоваться. В чем может быть проблема? Где то капался в настройках, разрешал сохранение cookies но это так и не помогло, может быть я просто не все места нашёл и не везде передвинул бегунки.... Вроде в некоторых браузерах бывает такая настройка, специальная. Если она есть в фаер фоксе - скажите, пожалуйста, как её отключить? Если её нет - подскажите какие ещё могут быть варианты?

Пожалуйста дайте ответ с конкретными путями действий , или со скриншотами

For a few days now I've been unable to use Google tools via Firefox (I can't tell if this is due to an update or not).

As soon as a document (usually an editable or navigable area) is opened on the page, it appears completely black. Interactions work correctly at first glance (it's possible to click, write, interact with content that isn't displayed. The problem seems to be purely visual.

I've encountered the problem in all Google Sheet or Docs documents (including when I'm making a new one) and on Google Maps, regardless of location (in the case of Google maps, a notable point is that the map is displayed and then turns black after one or two seconds).

I don't have this problem on another browser, I have it in PM.

Do you have any ideas on how to find the cause and fix the problem?

Is there somebody to answer my questions please? For a first site, it is impossible to have the PDF document when clicking the button. For a second, when I click to the "buy tickets" button, it doesn't work. What's wrong with the Firefox navigator????????????? Thank you.

Since the last update, 133 at least I believe that is the last update, I CANNOT LOG INTO Firefox for my PC. I have always used Firefox as my Primary Account therefore, once I have logged into Firefox I then log into my other programs such as Outlook.Live.com. Yes, I know that is a MS program. When I say I cannot log into Firefox.com this is what I mean. I click on the Firefox ICON in my task tray and Firefox appears only because I am NOT logged into Firefox. Then I am asked to Download Firefox for my PC. Of course, I know it is already downloaded and depending on the day I will receive a message saying Firefox is already downloaded or it may download it again. No matter my decision, I rarely have an opportunity to log in, unless I use a round-about way of going through Microsoft. Most of the time the application menu does not appear and when it does appear, and if Firefox allows me to use my credentials to log in, then I wait and wait and wait and the only thing that happens is NOTHING. I'm left staring at a blank screen. Since I've always used Firefox as my PRIMARY, after logging into it I then log in or open other programs I use such as Outlook.Live.com (yes, I know that is a MS program). After years of using Firefox I have never had to look at a blank screen and when I'm lucky enough to see the log in, I attempt to log into Outlook. But, I haven't seen Outlook in weeks. I have to use a round-about way of logging into Microsoft to log into Outlook, sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't work. It's as though Microsoft and Firefox have found a way to merge their programming. As you may imagine it takes me over an hour to use the programs I need. 'AND, here is the icing on the cake. Mozilla Firefox no longer monitors Trend Micro Security which I have used at least 15 years. At one time, Firefox did monitor TM as an add-on but no longer, and when I checked to see the latest update you were showing, it is obvious you are not keeping up with TM's many updates. I have received some very strange messages from websites I previously log into on a daily basis, such as Grammarly and Pocket and have been redirected to a Microsoft page indicating I owe money, which I DON'T so that was another waste of my time clearing that up. Now, I have gone days without logging into my PC out of sheer frustration. I don't know what else to do and now I'm not protected with a Security Program although I do update and run it everyday. Yes, I am aware of Microsoft's firewall but I'm not sure how well that is working since my PC is now out-of-date. I suppose I could start a Go Fund Me page to earn enough money to buy a new computer...lol I desperately need help. BUT, I CANNOT understand your computer talk, I need things explained to me in everyday language. I hope this makes some sense. Rhonda Caywood

Hello, I'm having some problems with updating firefox. It started a few months ago that I got a Pop-up every time I started Firefox about needing to update it. But when I click on the prompt to update it, it leads me to this website: https://www.mozilla.org/de/firefox/new/?reason=manual-update , and after clicking on the download button I get to this site for about a second: https://www.mozilla.org/de/firefox/download/thanks/ after which it loads this site: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-stub&os=win&lang=de which my browser can't connect to (aka just gives me the standard error message as if you entered an invalid URL). Today I got this website pop-up when starting Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/de/firefox/welcome/21/ which leads to the same outcome as above. After that I tried to update Firefox by going to the menu -> help -> about Firefox, which searches for updates but then tells me that I have the newest version installed already??? Even when I try to manually install a new version through this site: https://www.mozilla.org/de/firefox/all/ I still get the same result. Please somebody help me out here!

When opening Firefox a pornographic site immediately opens. This needs to be immediately removed. We've never gone to this, don't know where it came from, and have looked through most settings to try and find where it came from. It's automatic and it's inappropriate.

Chrome seamlessly harmonizes with the PowerToys FancyZones feature in Windows 11. In Chrome, I can drag a tab out of a browser window, and instantly snap it into a FancyZone. I can also quickly arrange multiple separate Chrome windows into FancyZones without issue.

Firefox's interaction with FancyZones is not good. When I drag a tab out of a window, it doesn't allow me to snap it into a FancyZone. I first need to release left click, allowing the tab's new window to appear, then I can snap that window into a FancyZone.

The biggest occurs when I have multiple Firefox windows open and snap one of them into a FancyZone. Often, one of the open Firefox windows will spontaneously shrink itself in size. When I try to manually resize the window back to normal, it shrinks further and further, until it is an invisible sliver. The only solution when this occurs is to fully restart Firefox.

It seems strange that Firefox has such poor compatibility with FancyZones, which is growing in popularity along with other productivity tools in PowerToys. Wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues, if there is any workaround, or if there is a fix being worked on.

Having issues with my Bluetooth AirPods and sound in Firefox. The problem being there is no sound when the device is connected and watching a YouTube video for instance. Things went wonky after the recent update to 133.0.3. At first there was no sound period. Then somehow, not even sure how, I saw that Firefox was muted in Windows (11 Pro) settings. That's a mystery unto itself since I'd never previously gone to that area. Now that I have volume through external speakers working, audio through AirPods doesn't. Everything works fine using Edge and audio from music. I know the device is connected and when that is, it's the default for where sound comes from. Used the test thing and yup there is audio. Is there something I'm missing? There must be but I can't figure out what it is. Hopefully someone reading this can point me in the right direction of resolving this issue. Thank you in advance.

For about the last 2 months, when I either get a notification that an update is available or I manually check for updates, both Firefox and Thunderbird are stuck in "Downloading updates -- 0 bytes" on 2 Windows 11 computers. Eventually, like a half an hour to an hour later, the update downloads and I can install the update. This has been going on for 2 months now. As a 20 plus year user of Mozilla and also a long-time financial contributor, this problem going on for 2 months is getting old. And yes, I have checked my antivirus and firewall. Is Mozilla aware of the problem and is there a solution?

Suddenly every doc I download or preview is COVERED by something saying I "can now read and sign docs in Firefox" -- and I can't remove this popup -- or even relocate it so that I can SEE the doc I am trying to read.

Is this from my latest firefox upgrade?  Can I undo it?  

The whole popup thing is not even visible, so I can't find something to scroll down and say yes or no. Similarly I tried to play along with it and create a signature. I did that and clicked a "save signature" but again I cannot even see the whole thing so I cannot save it and get out of it. It won't let me take a screenshot so I can show you....

The True Key extension from McAfee cannot be installed on Firefox. I have the latest updated version of Firefox 133.0.1 64 bit on my desktop Dell computer running Windows 11 Pro. When I try to install the True Key extension, a message pops up advising me that the extension cannot be installed due to a Firefox policy violation. I have reported the issue to McAfee for their action. Photo of the pop up message is attached.

I am unable to login to my Google Accounts on Firefox on Desktop from version 136.0.2 and up. Everytime I open the sign-in page for Google, the page automatically closes before I can type in my information. I am able to log into my Google accounts in other browsers so I think the issue is localized to Firefox. I did notice that the web URL for the Google Accounts webpage changes each time I attempt to log in. I included two URLs for reference.

Metamask extension is not properly loading- opening the extension that should lead to the PW/login screen only shows a loading/spinning wheel with the MM-Fox logo. Any idea why this might be happening and any solutions would be immensely appreciated. Using the latest version. have tried toggling ext on/off, and other simple troubleshoot. For context. there is not the same issue on other browsers, even on Firefox on other PC. Could this be related to a PC component? Have experienced frequent tab crashes lately after upgrading my CPU- garbage 14th gen intel that's crashed a few times. what PC settings could be playing a role? BIOS settings default- no overclock or other mod. I have (2) firefox's on my pc- one downloaded from Mozilla, and the other from MSFT app store. MSFT app has no issues and functions fine. When I first open Firefox from the icon in my taskbar the opening window says the following:

'Unable to connect Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 0.0.0.4. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.'

However this is only the first window, after that I can open a new tab in the same window without any problems.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox without avail. Can anyone help please?

I have been using Firefox for a long time, and recently I upgraded my Windows system. Before the upgrade, I had set Firefox to open PDFs directly in a PDF Reader other than Firefox’s built-in PDF viewer, and it worked perfectly. However, after the upgrade, Firefox now shows the "Opening when completed" message and opens PDFs slowly, instead of opening them immediately in my chosen PDF Reader.

I have checked the settings, cleared the cache, refreshed Firefox, and even tested with other software, but the issue persists. The settings for handling PDFs are still the same, but they don't seem to work as they used to.

Can you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.

The title says it all. How do I know my crashed Dell Latitude 5500 (NOT E5500) , 512GB M2 NVME, 32GB DDR4 2400 RAM, W11 Pro x64 is now truly healed and with no glitches due to Firefox 137.0 x64 conflicting with Spectrum Security Suite (most current version by F-Secure {TOTAL} as of 03-31-2025) and thereby crashing the entire computer. I have recovered 90whatever percent functionality to the computer, but cannot take the chance of re-installing Security Suite if there is an unresolved conflict not yet addressed and corrected. I've seen the Mozilla Connection entry about another crash similar to mine involving a different Antimalware APP. And I have seen the posting about the fix applied to correct the same type issues with a Chinese provided Antimalware APP. Has ANYONE addressed Firefox 137.0 induced conflicts with other security APPS like my Spectrum Security Suite? I cannot re-install Security Suite until or IF the conflicts that crashed my Dell 5500 have been addressed and corrected. I'd had to use a 2nd backup computer to go online, find, download, copy to a USB thumbdrive, a "suite" of online security scanners AND proprietary uninstallers, copy all of those to the crashed computer, install the necessary ones, run the scanners to check for malware infection(s), none were found, THEN run the F-Secure uninstaller, successfully removing Security Suite. THEN I had to run Firefox in Safe Mode to find and correct all the damaged website URLs the crash involved. Some 30(?) websites I could not get to until i repaired them. NOW, how do I get Firefox 137.x checked for conflicts with Spectrum Security Suite and have them corrected so I can have my Firefox AND Antimalware APP running together? Hello, I am now seeing a problem displaying an Iframe with Firefox Browser 137.0.1 (64-bit). It appears but in a reduced form (about ten lines of a spreadsheet) without occupying the entire size of the Iframe. This problem did not exist previously in previous versions of Firefox. Please let me know if there is a solution. Other browsers display this Iframe correctly.
