At the last FF update, I discovered that I had VPN on my top status bar but what does it do?

I have v. 150.0.1 (64 bit). Also Windows 11. I live in France and the only reason to use a VPN is to watch a UK soap which I cannot watch by any other means unless it's live on the TV. I know how to turn it on (obvious), so when I use the BBC website, this is what I do. But it makes not the slightest bit of difference as I am still recognised as being outside the UK.

Am I not doing something please?

My Firefox built in VPN is on, but it's not using any data...like it's not running...but shows its on! What's going on?

Mozilla has been bragging about the free built-in Firefox VPN for months now. I still don't see it. I'm on the latest release (151.0.3) but I don't see any way to access… (read more)

Mozilla has been bragging about the free built-in Firefox VPN for months now. I still don't see it. I'm on the latest release (151.0.3) but I don't see any way to access it. I know they've said it would be a phased rollout but it's been a long time coming already. Am I doing somethin wrong?

I had the VPN icon on my tool bar then it disappeared a couple of weeks ago....the icon is not on my toolbar.....I have searched the tools...themes...customize toolbar to no avail...I can not find it anywhere.
