Hi all,
I would like to know if this color issue is expected behavior or a bug somewhere on my system.
I am using a monitor (Acer ET322QK wmiipx) which displays color at a depth of 10 bits per channel (for a total of 30-bit color depth). When viewing images which have color depth exceeding 8 bits per channel, color banding is visible in Firefox that does not appear in GNOME Image Viewer, indicating that the image is not being displayed at the correct color depth. I've attached an image with 16 bits per channel color depth as an example. This sphere render is deliberately dim to make color banding more obvious. It should look smooth/unbanded on a display with support for colors with greater than 8 bits per channel.
By opening the Firefox console with Ctrl+Shift+K and entering "screen.colorDepth", I have confirmed that the display is identified by Firefox as having 24-bit color depth.

Hello !
I recently got a new laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 I think) and while it's been working great, I've noticed a glitch that's happened a few times now. It's usually preceded by the image having some weird line pattern, I haven't been able to take a picture of it but it's almost like the pixels have been shifted ever so slightly. After that the screen sometimes splits strangely (see image). I don't know if this is a hardware problem or a Firefox thing but the only time it has happened was when I was on Firefox so yeah...

I am running Firefox in Windows 7 on a PC. When I start up Firefox, in WINDOWS Task Manager there appear between 20 and 30 instances of firefox.exe of different sizes in the Processes Window. I can End Process on most of them without shutting down Firefox or any of the other instances of firefox.exe. However if I shut down one listed with about 200,000K of Memory (Private Working Set), then Firefox shuts down and all other instances of Firefox disappear. If I open an new tab in Firefox, more instances of firefox.exe appear.
I have never seen this behavior before. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but the same behavior occurred. Is this normal behavior, or should I be concerned?
I have enclosed screen shots from the Task Manager. I also have a Dump File of a couple of the firefox.exe instances, including the large one, if that would be helpful.
Thank you.

Is not just browse, I am also having issues accessing the website I know my account has been compromise. All I did different is add 2 adds on that were recommended by Mozilla and I removed them but it looks like the damage was already done.

For some weeks I have ad an issue with Firefox using 50%-100% of CPU. Normally it is the Firefox process itself, sometimes it is also "Privileged Cont".
OS is Kubuntu 24.04. Firefox has done this across 2-3 versions.
Things I have tried:
Restarting Firefox No change, I'll even get 100% cpu usage with no tabs open
Refresh Firefox to remove settings and addons No change
Uninstall Snap and try direct Apt package No change
Remove ~/.mozilla to fully remove any residual settings/cache/etc No change
Try with and without hardware acceleration See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1308215 No change!
I would blame my old computer hardware, but Brave runs fine. I am now using Brave, but would dearly like to return to Firefox as I miss containers, and I don't support a chromium dominated web.
Why do I get a blank screen when clicking on any bing search results?

Despite being listed as supported on: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/MediaDevices/enumerateDevices
enumerateDevices() still only returns input devices. Running navigator.mediaDevices.enumerateDevices().then(devices => console.log(devices)); in the Firefox console only shows input devices while on Chrome it shows output devices.
I use a website that supports playing from multiple output devices so when receiving a phone call, your desktop speakers and your headset can ring at the same time. This works in Chrome but it doesn't in Firefox.

So, i have a laptop, with integrated cpu graphics (Intel UHD) and discrete gpu (RTX 3060), first times when i set in Windows settings to use Firefox powerful gpu, it just won't, i tried restarting browser but i forgot that i have opened private tab, so i not restarted browser. So, on any pages like WebGL Aquarium, i have pretty low fps, in comparison to other browsers (like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome). Then, after i see that tab, i closed it, and after restart i got my fps, but.. still lower than other browsers, on WebGL Aquarium with 30k fishes, Firefox max fps is around 35, but on Chrome is around 70 (two times faster). I found one page that shows gpu that uses for acceleration, and it shows pretty weird information in Firefox. https://kdashg.github.io/misc/webgl/low-power.html So, in Chrome it says like "Nvidia RTX 3060 Mobile GPU", and when i choose integrated gpu for this browser in windows, it says like "Intel UHD GPU", but, in Firefox, on first tries it said same, but when i got discrete gpu acceleration, it says that i have "Nvidia Geforce GTX 980". I was like, what? Where it did come from? This explains why I have a fps two times lower but who will explain to me why this gpu is here? I tried to change all acceleration settings in browser, but when i just disabled any acceleration, still shows GTX 980 what is more weird than if it just shows like nothing or Intel GPU, cause is disabled but still uses hardware acceleration, but no matters if i let Firefox use recommended performance settings or set to use acceleration when is available, it shows GTX 980. I think it's about a bug, or something? I can't say that's Windows problems, drivers, or any other thing, cause, other browsers don't act like this, and i just don't have GTX 980 in my laptop on side with RTX 3060 and Intel GPU, anyone even know that laptop like this exists? Screenshot don't wanna upload here so i decided to place it on imgur. https://imgur.com/pyMZQr0

Hello, I recently updated to 15.3.2 on a silicon Mac Mini. This morning, both Firefox and TBird ran slowly. I restarted twice and spoke to a Senior Adviser at Apple. The second restart was at her advice, and it brought TBird back to normal performance. She said she believed that the computer was indexing after the update to 15.3.2, which took place last night.
We thought that Firefox was normalized as well, but it is still working slowly compared to Safari. Any suggestions?
Thank you for your help.

I can only use firefox for 90 minutes at a time, before the entire system crashes.
Since the last couple of updates, the infamous memory leak issue has gotten significantly worse. Now 30 minutes of use with no add-ons sees the memory use swell to 13 GB, crashing the system. Sometimes windows 10 crashes, sometimes it just kills firefox.
The thing is, when I check about:memory, it says firefox is only using 1.5 GB. However task manager says 13 GB, and if I close the browser, suddenly 13 GB memory gets freed up.
Does anyone have any idea why there's such a discrepancy?

Firefox has started crashing immediately upon launch. The browser window never even opens, and all I see is the Firefox crash reporter. This problem just started today. Everything was working fine previously.
I have tried opening Firefox in troubleshoot mode, but it still crashes. I've also done two clean reinstalls, deleting all Firefox files in between. This has not helped either.
I've attached a screenshot of the detailed crash report. In case it's relevant, I'm running Windows 11 on a Microsoft Surface laptop with Snapdragon X processor. I know the Snapdragon has had some software compatibility issues, but Firefox had worked fine on it until today. I'm totally stumped, and appreciate any ideas!
