I have sound in Windows, but YouTube is dead quit. I have tried all that is suggested in Firefox help and some YouTube sites. Nothing worked. I have tried off the computer and restarted, but no change. My system is Windows 11, sound works, and the latest Firefox update installed. Question is this a YouTube tacit to stop NoScript and uBlock?

In the last month or so I'm having an issue where using autofill multiple times on a web form causes some of the autofilled inputs to disappear.

For example, if I autofill my contact info first, when I go to autofill my payment information, my contact info disappears. If I try to re-autofill my contact info, then my payment info disappears.

The lost autofill inputs still leave behind yellow boxes as if still containing the autofill text, but the boxes are empty and submitting forms like this will fail, so I'm certain the autofilled information is being removed and not simply going invisible or something.

For days I have been seeing Firefox be very slow to load a page (as in minutes) or stop working entirely. At the same time Chrome works fine. Mac Mail has become intermittent as well. I have uninstalled Norton products and changed Network proxy settings many times. Nothing helps. I have created new profiles. I switch between profiles. I have hacked into my WiFi router. Nothing, nothing helps. Safari hangs up too. Firefox on my android phone continues to work properly when using my Wifi router -the same router my Mac Studio connects to the internet with. I can access my third party mail service via Firefox on my android phone. Both FireTV devices work. I am at my wit's end. At this point I have shifted all of my work over to Chrome.

I have cleared caches. I have gotten rid of all cookies. I have restarted Firefox and rebooted my computer countless times.

OK, for me, this has always been the 'go to' browser of choice.... until recently...!! I've tried a whole heap of browsers, some open-source derivatives, some based on gecko, you name it, I've tried it.... for Mac and for Windows, although I won't put some of those tripe PC ones on my beloved Mac, and there in lies the problem...!! My Mac Pro is a 17yr old quad which is still quick by today's standard and I run El Capitan as it won't upgrade anymore, running Firefox v78... I don't it to be running the most up to date b'cos I'm not doing anything special to warrant getting t'morrow's browser today.... my problem is.... some of the extension which made this browser run faster have been stopped due to verification issues...!! How did these extensions make to the Add-ons if they were never verified in the first place as they were in use for a while before use was halted...!! Now, I get stupid pop-ups randomly, along with salacious material asking my to join suggestive websites and worse, some of which bounce to 'other' websites when you try to delete them...!! Do you not have ways of verifying these extension before they hit the Add-ons page...?

Help! All my bookmarks have disappeared from the Firefox browser. I believe there has been a browser update done by Firefox. I found various ways to recover bookmarks and found a folder named 'old Firefox Data' on my desktop. But all files I try to import give me an error message stating that this file doesn't contain any bookmark data. I tried to import bookmark files and favicons.sqlite files. No luck. I now cannot access bookmarks accumulated for about 10 years. Really need to get them back into this new browser. Any advice highly appreciated.

Why is Firefox crashing so often? What changed? Is there something I need to do to prevent his? Once or twice a week or sometimes a day, but It seems to crash when I am just in my Gmail, sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour. Is Chrome a better option?

How to remove thumbtack icon from quick link icons on the homepage of Firefox.

The little thumbtack icon was by the name of the quick link on my home page. I updated to 139.0.4 and now thumbtack in top left corner of quick link icon. I want the thumbtack gone.

i attached a pic when i put my curser on the firefox icon in my task bar.... i changed my device while ago... previous device show windows not the all tabs... can i fix it... i searched everywhr in settings but i couldnt find any thing related to it....

My bookmarks from an older Firefox version are in JSONLZ4 format and when I convert them to html for import to a current Firefox version it loses bookmarks. Firefox will not allow me to import the original JSONLZ4 file. How do I import my bookmarks?

Hello, Login into my firefox account works on Android but, with the same username and password, fails on Windows 11 with the error message " Something went wrong..." I would appreciate getting your help to fix this issue. Thank you and regards.

I have tried to sync between my two computers, but it did not work out well:

e.g when I click on ‘show more bookmarks (>>)’ on the right side of the screen (next to Other Bookmarks) I get - Firefox is not responding and I have to click on

-> Close the program.

If I click on -> Wait for the program to respond - Firefox never responds! And before I click on -> Close the Program - my keyboard input is totally erratic!

This occurs on both computers! - what can I do…..

I have therefor on the computer I want to be on the receiving end:

- deleted: History, Downloads and Tags and All Bookmarks - Cleared browsing data and cookies - Closed all open tabs

And now I am Signed in with Syncing; ON - on both computers again.

But I have not checked any of the check-boxes in ‘Manage sync…’ - ‘Manage what syncs on all your connected devices’ i.e. Bookmarks, Passwords, settings, History, Payment methods, Open tabs, Add-ons

Why is there no check-box tag groups!

What do I have to do on my SOURCE compute and on the DESTINATION computer for - a one way sync of everything?

Today (06/12/2025) upon opening a new tab, Firefox slid the new option of uploading a custom picture to apply to the background. Tried the new feature, now I can not find the setting that allows me to change the picture. I read the thread "Customize your wallpapers". The instructions are as follows; You can personalize your Firefox New Tab page by adding one of the available wallpapers. Follow these steps:

  1. In the right corner of the New Tab page, click the gear IG settings icon.
  2. In the customization panel, under the Wallpapers section, you will see different categories like Solid colors, Abstract and Photographs.

       Click the category you prefer. For example, selecting Abstract will show a variety of abstract designs. 

The problem I have is the customization panel is no where to be seen, I have click on EVERYTHING possible, it is not in my settings, why? How do find this?

Hello, there is a problem with Youtube video hosting in the FireFox browser. When trying to play a video, there is an endless attempt to play the video. Attempts to fix the problem, including using about:config, were unsuccessful. We kindly ask you to let us know how to solve this problem, given that the problem is related to FireFox, since everything works properly in Chromium-based browsers. Thank you in advance!
