Hi a few weeks ago i had the problem that my firefox-stored-passwords are gone and there are files named logins.json.corrupt and logins.json-1.corrupt to -4 The in dir backup was also corrupt. File length 122 -123 kb all nulls. If i look at the dates first to last, they span two weeks were i didnt notice the problem. PC is always hibernated after work. Except for one which i imported just before from edge at the end of the two week span No problem: logins replaced by external backup as i found here at the forum.

But: How can Firefox produce multiple corrupt files without noticing me? (I have saved them for reference) In that two weeks span logins using firefox passwords obviously worked. (I dont remember the details)

Then some updates and reboots. No problem. But after work i do always hibernation

TODAY: PC didnt survive hibernation. logins and in-dir backup are corrupt again.

What about a) checking better if something is going wrong (obiously you do something because you rename the files for some reason) b) Noticing the user c) And how on earth this can go wrong in the first place.

Now for the obscure: Both times somebody has just before posted something against the greatest President of all time at Fux Nus using this pc. Backdoor possible?

Edit: Using Windows, no other problems with storage on the 1TB Samsung ssd

Any idea why it keeps being unable to open sites at some point, about 2-3 days after being opened? Might load eventually, but only after about 10 mins... private mode still loads quickly, though...? I tried playing with DNS, no proxies...

Insbesondere bei dem Aufruf meiner Überwachungskamera sowie der Wallbox innerhalb meines Heimnetzwerkes hat Firefox Probleme mit der Darstellung. Bei der Instar Kamera zeigt Firefox das Bild, aber anfangs nur extrem abgehackt, nach einigen Sekunden nur noch als Standbild mit einem sich drehenden Kreis in dem "Video läuft" steht (Anhang). Mit Edge funktioniert das Live Videobild einwandfrei. Ich möchte aber ungerne auf Edge umsteigen. An welchen Einstellungen kann das liegen? Ich habe die Adresse der Kamera schon in allen Bereichen als Ausnahme eingestellt. daran liegt es nicht.

The problem seems to have started after a browser update. Running up-to-date Windows 10. This issue does not occur when using Edge. Youtube videos are blank (spinning). Sometimes it results is a still frame, other times it spins forever. Many times, you can see a series of stills in the video as the time line is dragged from the beginning to the end of the video. A small number of videos will work, but I have not been able to predict which will work or why. A different Win 10 machine on the same network is fine. I have tried all of the solutions I could find searching on-line (clearing cache, cookies, reboot, restart, update browser software, etc, multiple times). Checked settings in windows, firefox and youtube looking for something. Any help would be appreciated. Have used Firefox for decades and I don't want to be forced to change browsers.

When I want to duplicate a tab, can I configure the 'duplicated' tab so it appears exactly next to the tab I'm duplicating instead of at the end of all the open tabs at the far right end of my browser? If I can't would it be too much of a bother to include that as an option we can configure? Maybe it's ridiculous or I'm using the interface wrong but it's super annoying to have to manually grab the duplicated tab and scoot it back next to the tab you duplicated from. Thanks!

I am trying to print this PDF file. When I print through Firefox, the "R" characters are replaced with "T"s Printing with any other application such as preview on my mac does not result in this issue.

My browser plays a notification sound repeatedly. Possibly every time a window opens. It sounds so many times its annoying. The sound is the same as when I plug a device into my computer. Such as a mouse. But it happens as I open or close a window. And sometimes when it seems there's nothing visible happening. The sound occurs three or four times in a row sometimes.

I have recently encountered reproducible failures when attempting to download files or save pages to local storage. The target directory is located on a mounted NTFS file system with the options umask=007, user=root, and group=disk. My Firefox browser is running under a non-root user account that is a member of the disk group. However, I consistently receive the error message: “XXX could not be saved because the source file could not be read.”

I would greatly appreciate anyone's assistance in resolving this issue.

Following a restart procedure on Windows 10 today, all my saved Firefox Passwords have now gone! (Firefox 144.0.2 (64-bit))

Can I recover them?

Today is 11-12-2025. After the last update a few days ago, many of my websites would not load up on firefox and when try on Edge or Chrome, they would work perfectly. I did a recovery back to 10-31-2025 and everything worked fine. Now I am afraid to do another update until I know what is going on. What would you suggest? Thanks,

Hello there, today was released a new version of firefox. downloading it not only crashed my computer, it also removed all my history and bookmarks. is there any way to revert this?

Ive been receiving server failure reports from several links at numerous websites including zillow and carvana. Links that I try to open from Mozilla Thunderbird, receive the error or show only a blank page. Is there an issue with Firebird or Thunderbird at this time?

2 issues, first it asks me for my password over and over again until I am so angry I could scream! First my password but then oh surprise the password is wrong so I reset it and it asks for my recovery key so I go look for my recovery key and find it and copy then enter it and thats wrong. Then I look and I am fucking signed in any way! WHAT THE HELL! GOOGLE you make so much money and your destroying the planet with your tech so why can't you figure out this stupid shit already...COME ON!! 2nd, WHY ARE MY DOWNLOADS NOT GOING ONTO MY DOWNLOADS FOLDER! I am not a tech idiot!!! BTW I am an advanced user so if I am having a hard time it's because your software is garbage!!! Seriously I just need my downloads to download...That should be so easy!!! Same as password management...It should not be hard for you of all company's the least you could do for your users are these simple and small things! And if I could take a screenshot easily and download it and show you BELIEVE YOU ME I WOULD BUT I CAN'T FOR THE VERY REASON I AM PISSED OFF ABOUT! JUNK!! GOOGLE!! YOU ARE JUNK!!! And is what I read true, that you have volunteers working on this thread? Of course a multi-bazillion dollar company would be using volunteers to do the work...Who needs money but google right?
