Apparently, crashing YouTube is no longer compatible with Windows 8. Today I had to restart my computer five times because YouTube freezing and crashing managed to break my entire desktop. This only happens with Firefox. Also, YouTube is much slower to load on Firefox, which will most likely make Windows 8 crash more often.

So the passed few weeks my firefox just keeps crashing randomly. then once it has crashed it opens up and crashes again and again someone please help thanks

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox on my Macbook Pro. The same thing keeps happening - I open Firefox and the rainbow wheel appears - that's it. I have tried to reset Firefox (I was able to click a "reset" button yesterday but nothing happened. I tried to reset it today but an unable to do so). All I can do is force quit the application. I think resetting it to default might work but I cannot write anything in the address bar or click on any of the tabs because the rainbow wheel is the only thing that appears. This has never happened before and I don't know what's going on.

Why does this constantly occur?

I wish I knew why Firefox has been crashing, but even in Safe Mode it dies. Here's what I do know:

1) Firefox was running fine in Fedora 17. Very rarely a crash even with 30 windows and 100+ tabs on multiple desktops.

2) I upgraded (as in: new install, but same home directory) from Fedora 17 to Fedora 20. No new hardware. Constant crashes - sometimes multiple times per hour. Sometimes multiple times per minute. Sometimes, crashing immediately on 'restart' of session while opening all my tabs back up & I have to do this a few times to get it working... usually, once it's up, it stays running for an hour or two.

3) Reduced windows to 12-15, and tabs to ~30. No effect.

4) Tried creating a new profile; tried different desktop environment (Cinnamon vs Gnome); tried uninstalling Flash plugin, other plugins, and then tried Safe Mode. Crash, crash crash.

I'm kind of at my wit's end. Fedora 20 is updated with latest packages. I am using the Nvidia proprietary drivers, but it crashes even in "Safe Mode", so hardware accel shouldn't be the cause.

I can run memtest86+ (which could take quite a while on a 16G RAM machine), but it would be quite a coincidence that I would have a memory failure right at the time I upgraded to Fedora 20, would it not?

please help! my firefox crashes down again and again, after 5 to 10 minutes of use. I tried all sorts of things: de- and reinstallation of firefox, windows updates, check of the virus scan (antivir professional), system restore point etc.)

One user can log on to the internet - no problem, but other user gets - "The Proxy Server is Refusing Connections. E-mails are good all around. Have checked settings, but can't find any solution.

Okay. A few days ago, I suddenly began having issues with Firefox crashing every time I try to save any sort of file. It doesn't matter the type - image, file, etc.

I have tried everything I can find in the forums and troubleshooting sections.

I started Firefox in safe mode. Still crashed. I reset it. Still crashed. I rolled back to an earlier version. Still crashed. I deleted Firefox and did a clean install. Still crashed. I have checked for updates on all the plugins/add-ons/extensions. Still crashed. I updated my graphics drivers. Still crashed.

I can't even include a link to the most recent crash report because every time it crashes, I get a message that Firefox had a problem submitting the crash report. I'm out of ideas at this point. I have a lot of extensions installed and enabled, but even fresh from the new reinstall, before I added any of them back, the browser would crash whenever I tried to save anything.

Please help!

Environment: MAC OSX 10.9.5 Firefox 32.0.3

Firefox keeps consuming lot of memory when you keep refreshing a tab after an interval.

I opened a single tab in my firefox and logged into my gmail account on that. At this stage the memory consumption was about 400MB. I refreshed the page after 10 seconds and it went to 580MB. Again i refreshed after 10 seconds and this time it was 690MB. Finally, when i refreshed 3rd time after 10 seconds, it was showing as 800MB.

Nothing was changed on the page (no new email, chat conversation, etc. nothing). Some how i feel that the firefox is not doing a good job at garbage collection. I tested this use case with lot of other applications and websites and got the similar result. Other browsers like Google chrome, safari, etc. they just work fine.

For one on of my application with three tabs open, the firefox literally crashed after the high memory consumption (around 2GB).

Can someone tell me if this is a known issue in firefox? and is firefox planning to fix it? Right now, is there any workaround or fix for this?

Firefox was first installed by another administrator. But wasn't working. I didn't remove it, just installed another version. After that, it crashes every time I'm trying to start it.

What I did: 1. Uninstalled Firefox using standard Windows via Programs & Components in Control Panel 2. Removed Firefox Profile 3. Removed Registry settings associated with Firefox

Another details of my set-up:

1. McAfee antivirus is disabled 2. SRP is disabled

Firefox has been a bit slow lately, stalling sometimes, and it's begun crashing at random intervals, sometimes when I'm not even doing anything. I hadn't updated in a while, so I went and did that, hoping that would cure it, but that's a no-go. So I went and checked the latest crash report and the reason came up as:

I'm afraid I don't know what this means or how to fix it.

I hope to get some direction with FF crashes, I am getting between 10 & 20 crashes per month. Just recently it's gone crazy. I never get any response from crash reports submitted???

Firefox will not run for more than a few minutes at a time. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated. I have tried in safe mode and it still crashes. I can't figure out what is causing this. I have submitted multiple crash reports (60+). There is no real pattern that is evident (certain sites, etc.).

Firefox crashes really often last few weeks. Most of the time it is related to the flash player. since I use the latest version of flash player I dont have the same problem on other browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer.

Firefox crashes on launch, fails to open, and the Mozilla Crash Reporter opens. I've updated Firefox to latest version and tried to open Firefox in safe mode. The crash still happens.
