I need to enable javascript on firefox ver 23 and there is no option to enable javascript under options, options, content.

How do I make it so that when I search with my address bar it ALWAYS uses Google, regardless of what search engine is selected in the search bar? It used to be like this, but a recent Firefox update altered it. Now, when I search with my address bar it uses the search engine selected in the search bar...if I wanted to do that, I would just use the search bar! Any suggestions?

So my adobe flash plugin apparently keeps crashing and this has been going on for awhile now. When I watch videos on youtube, the audio will stutter. Sometimes the video will crash too and whenever I watch a video on teennick.com, the video is constantly freezing and/or crashing. I've tried using the 'safe mode" version of firefox and the problem still happens. This is so frustrating, someone please help.

For example, I click on one link after doing a Google search, then I decide to go back & check one of the other links. When I go back instead of seeing my Google results screen again, I have a blank Google screen. Then I have to put my search terms in all over again. This does not happen using Internet Explorer. I consider it a security issue that I no longer have the ability top turn off java/javascript and what not. Is there no way to enable this? This is a terrible decision, if it was a decision. People should be able to control how they interact with the web, not the browser vendor. For a browser/organization that promotes freedom for the web, this is basic functionality for that freedom. Any solution would be helpful and please don't point me at some ugly plugin.

I am using the latest updated version of Firefox on my MacBook. The MacBook has Snow Leopard OS with all updates installed. Recently I have been using a website to watch TV shows on the computer (http://http://streamallthis.me/). It has the nasty habit of opening tabs in the background while I watch the show. The site it always opens is http://http://www.putlocker.com/file/B119FD2BAC80777D . I have the prevent pop-up option checked but that doesn't stop it. Once it opened 61 tabs in the background. Sometimes it opens so many tabs so quickly that Firefox hangs. It even has frozen the computer while doing it's thing. I have checked and have no viruses or malware installed. I tested Safari also and it does the same thing there. Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

had a problem with opening firefox and it suggested that i install a new version, I did and I have an "old firefox data" file. My question is how do I reinstall the old file and all my stuff that is on it .

A new version of Conduit has hijacked my FireFox browser, among other things. Every time I open a new tab it comes up in the conduit search engine rather than my default of Google. Any mistyping of a url sends me to bing via conduit. I used to be able to get into about:config and fix such problems, but now any attempt to do that simply sends me to bing. This is a horrible mess, and keeps happening, and FF users need a way to block these conduit takeovers.

As suggested by Firefox, I cleared my history and cache. I also downloaded and ran one of the Firefox recommended malware applications. I also removed Firefox from my firewall and then added it back as suggested by Firefox. I have no problem accessing the site using Internet Explorer.

My username and password for my university website: https://www.bb.reading.ac.uk/ stopped appearing automatically, and the password only appeared when I typed in my username. I couldn't bothered to type the username every time, so I deleted the website in the 'Saved Password...' section thinking I would be prompted to remember the password again. But it never came up and cannot seem to find a function that would allow me to remember a password for the website.

I would like two or more tabs to open when I open my homepage. If I try to drag the open tab to the homepage button it just replaces what is ther with the new one, instead of adding it.

Since upgrading to Firefox 23.0.1, I noticed I was having intermittent issues with no audio in Youtube videos. I have since discovered that, if I go to youtube to watch a video, there is no audio. The weird thing about this, though, if the video is linked through a forum, and I watch it embedded through that forum, it works fine.

Other video sites (test site linked in the FAQ and the videos on mozilla.org) work fine. If I open the youtube video in IE, it works fine.

I've tried searching these forums and the internet in general, but I'm not seeing anything similar.

I am trying to import Firefox bookmarks from a json file on another disc, and merge these with my existing bookmarks.

I only have options to import an html file. I can also use restore to bring in the file, but this will overwrite my current bookmarks, and I want to merge the two.

and furthermore, I see that almost all the question threads asking about this have been closed. I've downloaded the suggested add-on, but my question is ..what changed? Firefox was the best at blocking popups but now it's as if the popup blocker is nonexistant. I have not changed settings, but popups started becomming increasingly abundant, I have checked and unchecked and rebooted with no improvement. It's not an occasional popup ad, literally every third click I make (even within one window) causes some popup ad to appear....I've counted. Has something happened to firefox or have the ad guys just gotten smarter about going around popup blockers in firefox? Either way, PLEASE FIX THIS. Otherwise, why have the option of checking a popup blocker in Options? Thanks!

I can't open Gmail anymore...saying: This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies. Instructions talk about a location bar and about:config page? Like it's just assuming everyone knows what and where those are...

i have removed delta search from add and remove programs, i also reset mozilla firefox it worked for one day and now its back how do i go about removing delta search with out it coming back. i have windows xp thank you beth brock

I took the old drive out of the laptop and put it in a USB case so I now have my entire OLD hard drive as drive E ...but no applications will actually run of course. So...I want to find my OLD profile on drive E (particularly bookmarks) and copy and move it to my NEW firefox installation on drive C. Both computers were/are running Win7 64 bit if that helps. Thanks much in advance for any help.

I am the site owner and have been for the last eight years. I hope my company is viewed as responsible and honest. I'd like to stop Firefox giving a warning which I can fix. So how do I supply "ownership information"? that firefox can use?
