Running v 60 ESR, downgraded from v 68, with zero problems for 3 weeks.

I've had this problem all of a sudden since last week. Steps I've taken so far:

  • Changed "security.tls.version.min" to 3 from 1 (didn't work)
  • Deleted cert8.db (didn't work)
  • Changed to Google DNS (not sure)
  • Changed to "auto-detect proxy" from "system proxy" (not sure, maybe)
  • Disabled IPV6 (not sure, maybe)
  • Turned off/on wifi hotspot, rebooted laptop (not sure, maybe)

The last 3 steps I took at the same time and they worked. On reboot the problem went away, albeit for 2 days!

It just came back, now it's performing a TLS handshake on about half the sites, with loading after 30-60 seconds or not at all. From searching, I see that solutions are all over the place on this and it's specific to FF. A post clearly identifies a Symantec certificates issue.

This is probably the toughest issue I've come across on FF.

I know this has been asked plenty of times but Firefox is running multiple processes to the point I don't want to use it anymore. I've done google searches on how to stop this problem and tried everything suggested but nothing works. Any ideas before I say adios to this slow crappy browser? I'm still using windows 7 but not for much longer.

Pocket is a fantastic idea - another essential element to support democracy.

However, some of the news articles are from websites like the NY Times and Washington Post which require accessors to SUBSCRIBE before being allowed to view the reporting content.

Even when you use the 2-second delay to hit ctrl-a and ctrl-c (select-all and copy) shortcuts, it is a nuisance and often requires repeat attempts.

SO, can the "wonderful brainiacs" of Moz/Firefox find alternative sources of the same content to avoid those sites requiring forced subscriptions?

Hi how are you all In fact, I do not know how I will explain the problem to you Because I do not know its name and I do not know how it happened, but it seems that the problem started with the new update Since I usually pass the mouse over the html elements inside the console, they are identified in the webpage But after I remove the mouse, the selection should go away, but the selection still exists, and I have to move The mouse more than once and in different directions in and out console, until I can remove this selection, and this is annoying It is impractical, especially when it comes to response, so I have to waste my time doing these things, so that I can codeing !!! So what is the solution? thnx

I am running Firefox 83.0 under Windows 7 Ultimate: I am a voracious reader of amateur writing and have accounts on several websites. I use Reader View in Firefox due to my less than optimal eye sight. It works perfectly on Literotica.com and Inkitt.com, but on Wattpad .com, Reader View has a difficult time capturing the full text of a page. It will usually capture only blocks of the text and it is extremely difficult to make it capture a desired block of text. Why is this and can I do anything about it? PerryNormal perrynormal@att.net

How can I get a Theme or Create my Theme in Menu - Extras? It is difficult to move on with this.

I wish a Theme with the Text in the URL addresses with yellow colour and a dark colour background on the Top where I write the URL addresses.

Something is wrong when I try to follow these steps: > You can activate one of these built-in themes by following these steps:

Click the menu button, click Addons-icon Extras and select Themes.
Click Activate next to the desired theme.

It's being difficult to activate the theme I choose.

I use a 55 inch TV as my computer monitor with Windows7 OS. All of a sudden this week the animations are on every site... Netflix just became unbearable to watch. I have already gone though the steps to turn off all animations in Firefox. I performed these steps...

'''in about:config - type : toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled - set it to : false - type : toolkit.scrollbox.smoothScroll - set it to : false'''

This did NOTHING to turn off the nauseating animations. Every time I scroll a web page I feel motion sickness. Every movie I watch now looks like garbage.

I ALSO have turned off ALL animations in Windows7... so this is really upsetting. Movies I have downloaded seem to play fine in VLC player, but if I use my browser to watch a video, it is now unbearable because of these garbage animations wreaking havoc on my screen.
