how display sent and inbox folders
I do not see any folder pane om left and cannot find a sent or inbox folder anywhere. I'm new to Thunderbird and have the latest version on windows 7

Move your mouse to the left margin of the main window. When the cursor changes to a double headed arrow, click and drag to the right and see if you can pull out the Folder Pane.

Do you have a Menu Bar with File-Edit-View etc? If not press the alt key to make it appear.
From the Menu Bar select View-Layout-Folder Pane
folder pane is checked but doesn't appear

That didn't work either. However, I unibstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and now havw a Folder pane with inbox and sent folders
