More generally, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

1. Clear Firefox's Cache

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here

While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Do you mean that you see broken (incomplete) images and shown in the link?

Are all network.http prefs set to the default values?

Do you still get a broken image if you copy and paste such an image link from the Tools > Page Info > Media window to the location bar?

Do you have security (firewall, anti-virus software) software that might corrupt images or other files?

the first question leads me to mozilla addresses only.......... re 2nd question, i havent changed software for a year or so

Just to clarify the problem, it is a Flash video and part of it is cut-off? Does this occur consistently, or is it related to scrolling the page or another activity?

hi jscher2000, the problem relates to youtube videos embedded in a forum i frequent, before i press play, part of the image will be missing as shown in the first post above, i find i need to wave my mouse over the youtube image in order to have the image "add the parts missing", sometimes all parts will appear and sometimes they wont, the video always plays.........thanks for helping

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Did you also try to disable protected mode in the Flash player?

We recommend that you only do this as a last resort. ~Adobe

That shouldn't be a reason to try if it helps.

It only requires to edit or create a mms.cfg file and that change can easily be undone if you backup the mms.cfg file or remove the "ProtectedMode = 0" line in the file.

I did not do any of the Safe mode instructions. I just did the first solution which is launching Real Player and un-checking the "Enable Web Download & Recording for these Installed browsers" like explained in the link. After checking and trying a few other solutions given this is the one that worked for me. Amy
