if i install firefox will it discard the older version of firefox automaticly?
i'm afraid i'll lose all my bookmarks if i install a new firefox. my old one acts funny.

Your Firefox settings and info are kept in a folder separate from the Firefox program, called your profile folder. See Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
Whenever you update Firefox, you profile is kept in tact.
What kind of problems do you have?
