Plugin Check page always comes up with "problem/Retry" despite months of trying to use it. Using MacOSX 10.5.8 with latest Firefox Browser update installed. Tried clearing History/Cache/Cookies. Tried Disabling all Extensions and all Plug-ins save for Quicktime Java (which does need to be updated.) Tried all of previous at the same time. Tried Refreshing multiple times. Any ideas how I can get this to work on a Mac?

Hello Kyer.

I'd think this issue would interest the web developers, but let's see if it's not a bug with the page... Can you provide a screenshot of the error displayed?

Also, I've noticed this last week that Firefox has been crashing on me after a few hours online and has difficulty finding my past session's worth of tabs. This last didn't happen before though when also had trouble with the plugin check and probably is one of the individual plug in updates I manually installed (but not the Java one.) I've disabled everything save for Gecko and Quicktime to see if it happens again. Otherwise I'm wondering if just reloading Firefox from scratch and starting over would be the way to go.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I think the crashes were due to my having put Flashblock 'off' by mistake. May have been some Flash programs loading that caused the crashes....usually I don't suffer a crash more than once a month or less....this was three days in a row.

Plugin check is a no go no matter which plug ins or extensions I leave on or off en-mass or single so I really doubt its a plug in or extension problem and I've only the default Theme.

I've left on the newest Java plug in I installed. Made no difference.

Really thinking this may be a Mac OSX Leopard problem?
