Why do I need to post my question on a forum and wait for some random internet user to answer. Why can I not ask a question of the company when their product is not functioning properly? This is really really disappointing.

Hi

Most of the people answering questions here are like me - people that volunteer their time to help. We really care about Firefox across multiple platforms and quite a few of us have been doing this for more than a few years.

By asking your question on an open forum, if an answer to it is marked as a solution, it will be presented back to other users who ask a similar question in the future - possibly helping more people.

Hey Paul, once again you have not answered my question, merely explained the situation.

WHY can I not contact support directly? WHY does this multi-million dollar corporation not fund support for their services? WHY do they rely on unpaid volunteers to fix their site while pocketing all the revenue?

For a free to install and use web browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and mobile versions on iOS/iPadOS and Android how do you expect Mozilla to have call centres to provide one on one support by phone, chat or email even if they only limit to say Canada and US and not globally as people would be expecting it to be provided for free.

All web browsers out there are using some form of support forums for people to get help as direct support may only be a option for say enterprise users who pay for it.

Mozilla does provide direct ticket support here for those who subscribe to one of Mozilla's subscription based products like Mozilla VPN and the plus/premium versions of Pocket, Monitor, Firefox Relay, MDN Plus as they paid for said support as part of subscription.

Yet Mozilla had to do layoffs last year and some more this year to show they are not rich with money to provide call centres for free one on one support.

With this many commas, I would expect something other than volunteers who seem to be unable to answer my questions: https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/200097189

Seems to me they're off the wrong employees: https://www.reddit.com/r/browsers/comments/18b6tdp/mozilla_ceo_received_69m_salary_in_2022_a_2m/
