Passwords and history disappeared for the 2nd time in 3 months

For the 2nd time in 3 months my history and password files have disappeared from my browser. I have an Acer laptop running Windows 10 with Norton Security. I've tried a few fixes from your site with no success. Also tried a fix your site did have, but the link led nowhere. I need these passwords back. What do I do? I was in the midst of registering my wife for social security. Now my login and password are in the wind. Please get back to me Thank you
