Adrozek Malware recently announced by Microsoft
Microsoft has announced serious security risks to the Firefox browser from the Adrozek Malware (see: https://www.microsoft.com/security/blog/2020/12/10/widespread-malware-campaign-seeks-to-silently-inject-ads-into-search-results-affects-multiple-browsers/?ranMID=24542&ranEAID=J84DHJLQkR4&ranSiteID=J84DHJLQkR4-cw8f44Hxnuw1Qo3dlvtCvw&epi=J84DHJLQkR4-cw8f44Hxnuw1Qo3dlvtCvw&irgwc=1&OCID=AID2000142_aff_7593_1243925&tduid=%28ir__qw0o2fph0gkfq3vpkk0sohzgcn2xsvn2m393x00r00%29%287593%29%281243925%29%28J84DHJLQkR4-cw8f44Hxnuw1Qo3dlvtCvw%29%28%29&irclickid=_qw0o2fph0gkfq3vpkk0sohzgcn2xsvn2m393x00r00).
Is Firefox at risk from an Adrozek Malware attack? Are our passwords that are stored by Firefox safe? What actions do we need to take to protect ourselves from this Malware? Will Mozilla be providing an update to the Firefox browser to address this security risk? Are all platforms at risk (e.g., Windows and Android version of Firefox)?
This sounds very serious. I'm hoping there will be a rapid response to this threat if Firefox is vulnerable.
