Cannot scroll at times in Firefox when Chrome is open and running on Mac

When I have both Firefox and Chrome open because a specific apple sit will not work through Firefox, when i switch back to Firefox I am unable to scroll unless I close Chrome. This is the only way I have found that allows me to scroll on Firefox again.
