Firefox is stuck, won't browse.
I have used Firefox for years, and never found it user hostile. I just loaded Firefox for Android and did my very best to get it working, but it won't let me start browsing. Remember, I am a long time user. What has changed? I have already been working on this for two hours. I believe it might have something to do with (1) that damnable Android 9, which seems to have changed everything just to make things harder and lose customers, or (2) some trendy "security" fetish. What's going on?

I forgot that it keeps throwing log in error messages for no good reason. Insists that my email submission is wrong. There is nothing wrong with my email address, Firefox is wrong in rejecting it! I can't get over this speed bump, it's so frustrating! Why is everything so much harder with this new phone? Do I have to give up.
BTW I learned programming on an IBM 360. I think that removed any reason to call me a newbie

What happens when you ignore the Firefox Account prompts and just search for something in the address bar? Are web pages displayed?
What are the error messages you mention?
