Firefox autostart in windows10 - HOW is this done?

Paskelbta

Checked with Autoruns - and it shows nothing related to mozilla except maintenance service, which is already disabled. No shortcuts in start menu, registry clean, startup tab in task manager is clean... HOW does firefox still manage to start after boot? How is this done? Please note I am NOT looking for a way to disable this behavior (already know how).

This is not what I asked about, I explicitly stated I do know how to disable this through Firefox settings. Please read carefully my initial question. I am looking to learn how Firefox manages to restart itself without any registry entries, services, startup entries in task manager, or tasks in task scheduler.

We call the system RegisterApplicationRestart() function. See * https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/winbase/nf-winbase-registerapplicationrestart * https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/recovery/registering-for-application-restart
