Has anybody gotten enigmail to work on TB 68.4.1 on OSX Catalina ?
Since my Thunderbird completed hosed its profiles when uprading on Catalina (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1276268 ) now I'm rebuilding my setup from scratch. I've run the install wizard several times for Eigmail / GnuPG, the GnuGP always says "installation successful", but the enigmail wizard says "the installation was not successful".
And then it tries to encrypt every piece of outbound email and slows my laptop to a crawl until I disable Enigmail plug in
What a disastrous upgrade.

You did not reply to the Programs QA manager when they asked if you solved your problem, so your off doing something quite probably pointless and asking questions about it.
Perhaps try using about:profiles to re-select your old profile. https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com/2019/09/i-lost-my-profilemail-on-update-to.html
I did reply to that other response, what he suggested did not work and I said I'd ended up re-creating a new profile from scratch.
Trying what you suggested above opens thunderbird with my old profile and has the same issue as my original question, it's just a blank canvas.
So, now running thunderbird with a fresh profile, maybe somebody cares to address this question instead of telling me I'm doing something wrong about some other question (the one where upgrading this software completely hosed my setup).
Again, does anybody actually have Enigmail plugin with GnuPG working on Catalina?

Apart from Enigmail issues, the problem of the disappearing profile after the update is often fixed by deleting the global sqlite file:

THANK YOU, this solved the problem originally posted here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1276268
The location for global-messages-db.sqlite was described for a windows machine but you can get your pathname via the about:profiles tab mentioned by Matt prior.
Now, how about enigmail, anybody got it working on Catalina?
