many large html messages from major sites never fully load?

Large html emails from NewEgg, Zappos (an Amazon company), Walgreens and lots of others don't fully load. The green gradient bar keeps moving, but I only see part of the message. sometimes the green bar stops moving ,as if it's pulled in the entire message, but I can only see parts of the message (I don't think the images are making it).

I'm running Win10-64 i7-7700K fully patched with 1809 feature update on a Samsun 970 Pro NVMe M.2, so I' 'm not having any issues with my computer.

Fast.com reports 940 Mbps using my directly connected Ethernet port (not using WiFi) for my AT&T Optical Fiber Internet.

I'm not having any problems with web sites, using Firefox of course!

My message bodies are set to display 'original html' and I'm running Thunderbird 60.7.2 32-bit.

I design IOS/Android apps and database driven web sites, so I'm not entirely a neophyte.

But, I'm perplexed?
