I tried to use the directions in the article Changing PO to IMAP. Clicking Done on the Set Up an Existing Email Account screen, get an error message "Configuration could not be verified--is the username or password wrong?" It is not. Out of options. Ready to junk Thunderbird forever after many years of successful use. Please help.

Did you follow the instructions here? Did you use your full email address for the User name? Do you have a security program scanning SSL (secure) connections or the TB profile folder?
