Hi All,

I've got an issue with Thunderbird not recognising my password when I send messages, and it seems the only solution is to delete each email account and reinstall. I've done this with my IMAP accounts without issue, but am not sure how to do it with my POP3 account so I don't lose all my messages.

Can anyone talk me through this process?

Thanks,

When you remove a pop mail account, it disappears from the Folder Pane but it is not deleted from the profile folders. How to remove see first image below.

This means you can create a new pop mail account for same email address and then point it via 'Local directory:' to look at the original mail account folders. See second image as guide. Info at link: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Recover_Deleted_Account
