Virus in my address book on an iPad sending to others

Yesterday an e-mail went to a friend supposedly from my iPad which had a virus. I did not send her an e-mail anytime recently. Two days ago I received an e-mail on that iPad which sounds like the one sent from me yesterday.

Also today, I received an e-mail from a friend saying she had received a virus from me today. That was from an e-mail I sent from a smart phone yesterday.

What do I do to sort this out, please?
