save browsing history easily in csv or html
I've searched all over the web - to no avail :( All I want to do is to save my browsing history EASILY. That used to be possible in Firefox very easily by using the export button or by using a tool like Norton's. Sadly no longer it seems... no more Norton or exporting is only possible for bookmarks :( :( I know where the data is - mostly in places.sqlite - and have used a SQL browser but I don't want to have to learn how to manage data bases, I just want a simple list of all the sites I've visited with date... Everyone is so concerned about deleting their browser history, but is really no one interested in keeping a record?? I've used Nirsoft's great History Viewer sadly only available for Windows - but I use my Mac far more than my PC and syncing doesn't always work in moving all my browser history from my Mac to my PC. If there really is nothing there, I'd appreciate very much help from someone with SQL experience - what do I have to do using a DB Browser for SQLite in order to generate the list I'd like. Thanks to everyone who can help in advance!

I'm not asking a "free browser" (as if users had the choice to buy a high-quality browser...) to do anything more than what was available until recently - either providing a function to generate a list of browsing history to be downloaded (was once possible on Firefox) or allowing an add-on to do the same (like the Norwell History Tools).
But I think I see the issue more clearly now ... users are panicking about privacy and think they can delete their traces. The browsers provide lots of tips and add-ons about how to delete browsing history but of course continue to collect as much data as they've always collected. The only difference is the storage in databases that require more advance skills to extract the information.
But I've since discovered a work-around: there's a great NirSoft BrowsingHistoryView freeware tool that can provide what I want - convert the Firefox sqlite file into an easily readable csv or htm(l) file. Works only on Windows, but Mac users just need to copy the sqlite file and move it to a PC and let NirSoft do its magic.
What I find curious is the apparent lack of interest for most users to keep track of their digital browser history - a great way to keep track of what we've been doing online... and a crucial part of any digital diary....

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.{web link} I use an add-on that makes backups of my user profile, Just In Case. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the current Firefox.
Every now and then, open the profile folder and create a copy of the current profile as is to another location on your hard drive. This way you will have a backup.
If you do this each day, you will not lose much data. This should be done with Firefox Closed.
Note: In case you need to restore from these backups, you may need to overwrite old or corrupted files.

First I have already checked ALL of the available Firefox add-ons: there is not a single add-on that enables me to SAVE my browsing history in an easily readable form. (Norwell History Tools was great but is no longer available, the few others deal almost exclusively with how to delete browser history). I have no problem with backup and restore and that wasn't part of my request.
To repeat my request:
I need an easy-to-use tool that simply SAVES my browsing history in a format that I can easily read outside of Firefox.
Or I need help in using a Database Browser to be able to extract my Firefox Browser History from the places.sqlite file where the data is stored but not easily retrievable.
I'd like to be able to easily generate a table with sites visited and date-time, a table readable in html or Excel or in LibreOffice.

Your asking alot of a free Browser to do something that you only do for Backup and Restoring purpose of data for firefox. If the site mozilla site link given to you doesn't have such option then there is no option to do that.
