Firefox 49.0.2; Windows XP SP3. When I go to the Facebook Homepage, it opens a page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Totnes-on-the-Move/336125953141654) which must somehow have been set up 5 years ago as a 'default' page. I have no memory of this. Result is I can't go to the Facebook Homepage because either Firefox or Facebook switches the URL to the Totnes-on-the-Move one. Every other Facebook URL that I type into the address bar gets switched to that Totnes-on-the-Move one. It's probably very simple, but everybody in town that I've asked is baffled!

Many Thanks, the-edmeister. Very clear instructions; removed facebook cookie. Unfortunately no joy! The problem is not solved yet.

How are you opening FaceBook?

From a bookmark you saved? If so, try setting a new Bookmark for https://www.facebook.com/

Beyond that, try FaceBook support to learn how userset preferences can be changed. I don't have a FaceBook account and can't navigate the user area pages for an answer.
