What version of Firefox are you currently running? Your browser indicated at the time of posting Firefox 36, which is quite old now and our support article may no longer have details for that version. You browser's details are indicated on the Troubleshooting Information page. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the first table, what is your Version and Build ID?

And, obviously: Version 36 is not secure; Mozilla discloses security flaws after each new release. If something is holding you back from upgrading to Firefox 49, please let us know so we can suggest solutions or workarounds.

Sometimes Firefox reports the wrong version because that information was saved in a preferences file. If the information page shows Firefox 49.0.1, you may need to clear out that incorrect information. See: How to reset the default user agent on Firefox.
