Have downloaded app and synced TB calendar with google, but need to access my TB calendar entries on my iphone

I created a calendar in my TB email account and downloaded the google app so that google can access my TB calendar and they can sync. Even though all of my gmail accounts, birthdays, holidays, etc. are showing up on my iphone calendar, I can't get the events I enter into my TB calendar to show up. Suggestions?
