I am running Kubuntu 12.04lts with Firefox 28 and have added Skype8 as an add on so I get to use Skype as my contact and messenger

I am running Kubuntu 12.04lts with Firefox 28 and have added Skype8 as an add on, so I get to use Skype as my contact and messenger, like I use in win7 firefox40 and Skype as an add on which works, there fore I want to use in Kubuntu, as it does not show on the toolbar in Firefox 28, so please give me the correct procedures to get it going ?
