I need to install silverlite in order to use the ATI testing system on my computer. ATI testing is provided by the university where I work and I need silverlite on my computer to open it completely. When I click the install icon for silverlite, it asks me if I want to download the file. I have downloaded the file at least 20 times and nothing else happens. Help please.

Did you actually install Silverlight? That is a separate process from downloading it.

https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx For Mozilla Firefox users: Save Silverlight.exe to your hard disk. Once the download is finished, click Open. The installation starts.

For years I have resisted my son telling me to change my browser from FF to Google Chrome because he says FF is now useless (didn't used to be) I have resisted as it I liked it - until now.

I am trying (and have been for 3 hours now) to simply activate (after updating) Microsofts Silverlite.

The only reason I need to do this is that AMAZON PRIME VIDEOS will not play on Firefox, because your system does not support the HTML5 protocol.

For gods sake. GET WITH IT, or close up shop.

Your help pages are worse than useless, you have install, remove, but that is about it.

I need someone who knows FF to advise me and am sure that dedicated users know it better than the people who run FF do.

I am hoping someone will come to my rescue.

~Thank you to anyone who can help ~

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. Select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.
