I was able to download video by going to options/page info/media in version 41, but video no longer appears in the list. This is the case for pages where I was able to download video just 2 weeks ago. I have tried updating my addons, but that made no difference. I have seen that other people have noted this problem.

If you read that thread, you know you have these options in Firefox 42:

Once you start the video:

  • To save the video
    • right-click the video > Save Video As
    • right-click near the Vine logo > This Frame > View Frame Info > Media tab
  • To copy the address of the video
    • right-click the video > Copy Video Location
    • right-click near the Vine logo > This Frame > View Frame Info > Media tab

What am I missing?

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

I've seen that post, but I have exactly the same problem as vrm3. It all worked before the upgrade and now it doesn't. I need it to work. Looks like I'll be heading back to version 41.0.3 and turning off automatic updates.

I don't get a save video option when I right click on it.

I have no idea what a vine logo is, and do not see one, so this made no sense. (A lot of things in these threads are not obvious to everyone).

However, I did find the "this frame" option when I right clicked on the video.

Thanks for your help. Really did not want to downgrade to the earlier version.
