One day all my saved passwords were listed, the next they were gone. I tried everything and nothing seems to work.

I am currently running version 39.0.3

Any ideas on what I can do?

Did you reset/refresh Firefox?

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Yeah.... Hey, it sounds random, but do you have Skype, I could share my screen with you, and you can guide me through this.

You need to copy the logins.json and key3.db files from the profile in the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop to the current Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.

Hey all. I got it all figured out, I found out all the websites I had log in information for, and reset all the passwords.

I have them all saved in a document in case this ever happens, hopefully it won't

Thanks for all your help :]
