I am currently using the newest version of firefox (just updated, but the problem was there before) and I use Windows 8. I'm using these addons: Adblock, Evernote, Self destruckting cookies, Youtube unblocker. Only the adblock icon shows in my toolbar. I've tried disabling/enabling all the addons, nothing changed. The cookie app works, although the icon doesn't show, but the YT unblocker doesn't work at all (I should probably need to enable it via the icon setting) I use the same combination of add ons on my other laptop, but the problem doesnt occur there! (but it is using windows 7) I've tried using the costumization but my add ons aren't listed.

Chosen solution

I now know why it happened: My privacy settings were put on not collecting the history, which caused to add ons from not working properly. I changed it, and everything functions again! Thank you for the comments and help nevertheless :)

I assume you've checked these, but just in case:

Step #1: Are the missing extensions enabled on the Add-ons page? Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. On the right side, disabled extensions cluster at the bottom.

Step #2: Are any updates available for those extensions? You can use the "gear" button above the extensions list and "Check for Updates".

Step #3: You mentioned already checking the available icons in Customize (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars). You could try the Restore Defaults button at the bottom of the panel to clear existing customizations and see whether those buttons come out of hiding.

For Youtube Unblocker, do you already have version 0.6.17 from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/youtube-unblocker/ ? If there's a problem, support is offered at http://www.unblocker.yt/en/feedback/

I tried step 1&2 already, and with step 3 the icons did appear, but only as blank spaces. I tried putting them in my toolbar, but nothing happened, and no icons showed up. But thank you for your reply! :)

I don't have any explanation for that! Does Firefox seem to have problems showing any other icons or images?

No, I don't have any other problems with firefox. I hope there will be someone who can solve it, and thank you for your time! :)
