Can I make pop-ups open in a new Tab instead of a separate window? How?

I am on a client's website & each time I click a "Link" to a move to that file the link opens in a new window (separate and alone w/out the address bar or anything, ie, file/print options). I just want it to open in a new tab but don't see the option to choose that for pop-ups. The only pop-ups option I see is to turn them off or on.

hi STRDM, in order to force popups opening in a new tab instead enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction. double-click it and change its value to 0.
