I had problems with that Binkiland browser intrusion, I thought I was by passing this browser by opening a new tab. I deleted the Binkiland browser from my programs and hardrive but it was still infecting my Firefox, I can no longer use my pc unless I start it in safe mode.

Deleting a program may not solve the issue, if it left babies behind.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

You should try disabling/removing your Web Protect Extension. This may be why Safe Mode is working. http://malwaretips.com/blogs/webprotect-virus-removal/

And if it is not, please disable each add on one by one until a culprit is found. Safe Mode in Firefox only disables some settings, hardware acceleration and addons.

If I understand your first post correctly you may be indicating you need to start in Windows Safe Mode.

If that is the case you have a serious problem and may need advice from a forum specialising in Windows or Security issues.

FIRST of ALL: If you have already had issues with one set of Adware or Malware (Binkland & ?? Web Protect) it is quite possible there is more yet to be discovered. I would use multiple tools as listed in Fred's post above. Don't just rely on your McAfee or just a single choice from the the list.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
