Error: >>Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to crew.lirr.org. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.<<

I have tried to add an exception via about:config.....it is not available. This is a site that I visit daily and must use chrome.

How do i make a permanent exception? Firefox 37.0.1

Thgank you

The website may try to fallback to TLS 1.0 in a way that is no longer allowed in current releases or may be using a deprecated cipher suite. You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and use its search bar to locate this pref:
  • security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts
You can double-click the line to modify the pref and add the domain (crew.lirr.org) to this pref. If there are already websites (domains) in this list then add a comma and the new domain (no spaces). You should only see domains separated by a comma in the value column.

Thank you for the exact instructions!!!!! That worked. Now I need to do the same thing on Firefox on my android phone.

In version 37.0.1 on Windows I received the error unknown_issuer and could add the exception.
