TB New V140 has an issue: when adding a new email account the wizard stays in a loop, no information why and no option any more to add the account data manually. No idea why it's necessary to keep users out from a manual setup and let them use a not working apple style wizard....

Hi everyone, great to see the latest release of Thunderbird.

There was mention of an "experimental mode" that enables exchange active sync.

How/where can I access this since the previous plug-ins such as TBSync no longer work with the latest version.

My income has changed and I need to cancel my recurring donation. I used <redacted>@shaw.ca for my donation. My name is Dorothea Hoffman and I pay 1.75 Cdn monthly.

My user profile folder is 36GB (23GB compressed zip) consisting of 8 email accounts. My thunderbird version is 140.0esr (64-bit). It has been flawless and I back up the profile every week. All email accounts are setup as imap and original copies are in the cloud.

Setting aside bandwidth and storage limits, I am wondering whether there is an upper limit to the size of the profile folder?

Even if there is no upper limit, is there a better way to manage such a huge profile folder?

Local folders were in default location on C: drive, 128GB SSD boot drive. Installed a 1TB SSD as D: drive. Want to use D: for local folders. When changed local drive to D: lost access to default Local Drive. Can't reconnect as location not visible in file explorer. Want to move local folder from C: to D:.

Does Thunderbird team consider adding option to log in to Mozilla Account on Thunderbird to store and transfer Thunderbird settings between user machines??

Or will this still need manual setup of each email account on every Thunderbird instance?

The PCs would not be used at the same time. (think winter/summer) POP3

I like the idea of reducing the places where the underlying data is potentially exposed.

If all files are synced after any local changes, will this work? Anyone see any potential issues?

years ago my Verizon.net email account was taken over by AOL. I can access that acct from the AOL web site. I would prefer adding it to my current Thunderbird account. I have tried various configurations, but none succeed. Suggestions appreciated.

I keep getting "Mozilla Thunderbird Email wants to access your Google Account", which I DENY. However, it keeps popping back up. How do actually get to DENY?

I accidentally deleted my Thunderbird which I just installed a week before, after making 3 donations, now it continues to ask for more. What happened to the free part?

I've had two email accounts, both Gmail, coming through Thunderbird for years... Until I was forced to download my operating system again last week. I can get one email account to transfer emails from gmail account, though none of my old emails or files are available, to Thunderbird, but the second email account will not set up on Thunderbird again. Each time I attempt I get a "400 ... malformed'" don't try again message. When I attempt to import from the default backup files it only produces an error message suggesting I check the error message files. What am I missing? Thanks for your consideration of this inquiry.

On Windows 11 when I try to set up two accounts for two separate users on the same email server I get an error. When I do the same on Windows 10, it works as expected. Both Windows have the exact same versions of Thunderbird. Why should this be? Can I do something to get it to work? I will provide any additional information requested to get at this.

I didn't know which topic to pick. But recently, my Thunderbird email stopped loading. I worked with my internet provider to help figure this out, but they could not. I don't know what to do. Also, I don't know my PIN.

Recent new system. Previously used Office Outlook and backed everything up to a PST file. Found I couldn't import into Thunderbird, needed to install Outlook first and import it there. Did that. So I have an Office 365 Subscription active and have Outlook active. Now I'm trying to get those messages to Thunderbird, but when I go to Import and select Import From Outlook I get a red error "No profile found" and can't continue. Is there something I need to do regarding Outlook for Thunderbird to recognize it?
