Auf meinem bisherigen Rechner begann Thunderbird mit dem letzten Upgrade von Linux Mint langsamer zu laufen. Da ich mir nicht anders zu helfen wusste, habe ich in einen neuen Computer investiert. Obwohl der Rechner jetzt deutlich performanter sein sollte, hängt Thunderbird mindestens genauso wie vorher. Zum Teil ruft Thunderbird auf dem neuen Rechner auch keine neuen E-Mails mehr ab. Ein Neustart korrigiert das zwar wieder, aber beim nächsten Start kann es dann wieder genauso sein.
Alles, was man in den Foren findet, um Thunderbird schneller zu machen, habe ich erledigt. Cache gelöscht, im abgesicherten Modus gestartet (da ist Thunderbird genauso langsam). Auch verschieben von Nachrichten in Archivordner brachte keine wirkliche Besserung.
Ich nutze Thunderbird für 7 Kalender (zum Teil lokal) und 10 E-Mail-Adressen bei unterschiedlichen Anbietern.
Als Add-on habe ich DKIM Verifyer installiert und aktiv.
Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich inzwischen ziemlich verzweifelt, was das Thema angeht. Witzigerweise lassen sich die Entwicklerwerkzeuge nicht aufrufen. Keine Ahnung, ob das vielleicht ein Indiz für den Fehler sein könnte.
Hat jemand eine Idee? Oder noch Fragen?

At some stage, one of my Imap Inbox email accounts & its sub-folder have moved to the bottom of the list - under all other folders (Sent/Junk, etc). The Sent sub-folders for this email account are in the correct place. I have tried all solutions that I have found: Subscribing; unchecking only show subscribed; playing with the settings on the webmail server, reinstalling, etc & I still can't get it back to the top, where it's supposed to be. I have attached a screenshot as it was & how it now is (worse) after updating my OS to the latest. Does anybody have a solution for this scenario?

This is my local PC, so no network error here. So, it most be a file access errors. How do I fix or resolve this issue?

Only the standard built-in folders e.g inbox, junk, sent etc were setup in Thunderbolt with all the mail from the other folders in the inbox. This is not very helpful.

I have tried rebuilding the current global-messages-db.sqlite file but it stops after 12 hours and was only 10% finished at 2 GB instead of the prior anticipated 16 GB. I finally set up 4 different accounts with different domain names, I tried some settings to have the same display with on my other computer with Windows 10. I played with some setting and now can"t bring back light mode. I,m more of a computer user not a wiz. same this happened on the Firefoz browser with boxes around each bookmarks toolbar ans tabs. (i think that's what's going on), my network/router is connected to my gmail account. I haven't figured out how to change that or if I should. But when I try to sign into thunderbird email, it asks me to sign in with my gmail account. I have an apple email account and trying to get that to be my sign in with thunderbird NOT gmail. Is it possible to sign in with apple account and if so what steps (please in very simple instructions) do I need to take to get the sign in to ask me to sign in with my apple account? Do I need to change my network/router (of which I haven't figured out how to do and if I can get around that I would love that) somehow to the apple account? help.... Added all addresses to address books. Nothing fixes this problem. There is no way to contact Mozilla directly for a solution so I am posting here. No, this is not email coming from a third party account like Gmail. No, it's not inheriting spam designations from another server. This is broken junk settings on the previous two versions of Thunderbird. Mozilla, please fix this.

(1) Over the past year (maybe more?) folders move in Thunderbird seemingly by themselves. Which folders move is random. Then message filters don't work properly so the filter is unchecked until I move the folder back where it should be and reenable the filter. (2) Occasionally folders disappear completely, so I have to recreate and repopulate them. (3) Sometimes filters are disabled with no apparent cause. (4) More recently, Thunderbird filters can't find folders (though they appear to be in the correct place) so the filters also get disabled. Reenabling the filter doesn't help, and I have not found a workaround for this. Seems to be more and more frequent. (5) Yesterday whole folders were empty of messages that had been there the day before. One folder (on a W11) hasn't any messages for the last month, though on MacBooks the filter that feeds it is working OK.
I am not doing anything to cause this. I suspect it is a setting that either Mozilla or Comcast or Microsoft has changed. What can I do to stop this without having to switch to a different email system entirely?

I installed Thunderbird 138.0 a couple of months ago and was really pleased with its reliability and simplicity. About a month ago, it stopped retrieving emails from our local ISP. After a few very frustrating days of trying to fix the problem myself, I contacted our ISP. They told me that everything on their end was fine, but that I should probably change my password, just in case. I did that and Thunderbird started to work again as usual. About a week later it stopped again and nothing I try fixes it. I can't keep going to my ISP to change my password. The same thing is happening to Thunderbird on my Android phone, except every once in a while, it downloads 20 or so emails, then days of nothing. Its intensely frustrating!
