In AM of 05/23/25 my Thunderbird mail downloaded to my desktop just fine. By afternoon of same day I get an error message (see attached) saying that it is unable to write to my mailbox. Error has continued for almost 24 hours now (thru 05/24/25 AM). I can get the email account on my phone through another program, but I like to save my important mail to my desktop storage. Please advise. (I did nothing to change my Thunderbird configuration on 05/23/25 that would have generated this message.)

I have a new HD and installed Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. I installed Thunderbird version 2:1 snap 1-Oubuntu3. The program will not open Just get "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I click on the Thunderbird icon and nothing happens. I cannot get it to open to retrieve emails (100+ a day, mostly junk). I don't have my email passwords so I can't go online to use cpanel webmail. All my digital records are stored in Thunderbird inbox folders. Which I can't access. Any idea what is happening? I'm trying to download my deceased son's Gmail account. 1.) They sent me the info to download Mozilla Thunderbird, which I did. 2.) Then it says to close after you have completed the installation. 3.) Open the following path/folder on your computer. 4.) Open Windows XP/2000, the path is C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\

My question is: I have Windows 11 Home, does that make a difference as to what I type in the path/folder? Also, where do I go to get to that path/folder?

I only have 30 days to figure this out and then have to refile a legal retrieval again to obtain the emails. I received the notice on the 16 of May and have not been able to figure this out. Google said in order to open the email content use Mozilla Thunderbird or any other program capable of reading ".mbox" format files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from someone soon. Thank you!

I'm using T'bird on windows 11 to access mail from my Zoho mail account and all of a sudden I'm getting this message: "login to server pop.zoho.com with user name x failed". This happens from time to time and eventually clears.

I get the option to retry or enter new password, if I retry I get this message: "sending of user name did not succeed. Mail server pop.zoho.com responded: user already specified."

Entering a new password doesn't help and the password is saved anyway.

I don't get the "user already specified"?

All the settings are still the same before this happened and T'bird was working and it's up to date.

Mozilla asking for Earthlink Password and not recognizing my password So, I can't receive emails Specifically says: mindspring.com on imap. earthlink.net

I'm using the password that works for earthlink ........... NOTE: Earthlink and Mindspring are related / I pay Earthlink but my email is mindspring

I've tried using Oath2 or whatever as authorization, but Mozilla says, " that doesn't work"

I am having trouble with trying to completely uninstall Thunderbird. I need to get back to a clean install because every time I just uninstall all the email accounts come back into the new installation, and I must have a clean install to get one of my emails to work sending emails. I have tried just to use the Windows Add or Remove programs but that does not get rid of all the files. Any help? Thanks
