Mulongo oyo etiyamaki na archive. Tuna motuna mosusu soki osengeli na lisalisi

My hard drive crashed. Is there a way to go into my backed up Program Files directory, and copy a file or subdirectory from the archival Firefox directories to the new drive, thereby restoring my old bookmarks and links?

My hard drive died unexpectedly and completely. I've installed a new hard drive, and reinstalled FireFox 3.6.16. I would like to recover my old bookmarks and saved links that I had saved in FireFox prior to the hard drive death. I have a fairly recent backup of my program files, including the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox directory. I'm assuming the bookmarks and saved links from FireFox 3.6.16 were saved in a file on the hard drive. I need to know what this file is called and which subdirectory it resides in, so I can retrieve it from a backup of my program files, and copy it into the correct program files directory on my brand new hard drive. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

The bookmarks and other user data are not stored in the program files, they are stored in the profile folder. For details of the location of the profile folder see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

If you have access to the old profile folder, you can recover the files from it, for details on how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile
