This morning, for the first time, my anti-virus Bitdefender, blocked sending a typical e-mail advising that the URL www.googleapis.com/ is an infected web resource. What should/can be done about that?

You should contact Bitdefender if you have a question about their software.

The googleapis.com servers store a lot of different services and it is always possible that one of them is suspicious.

Note that this specific issue isn't with Firefox, but is an issue with Thunderbird as you can see in the screenshot.

Yes I realized after posting that I should have written Thunderbird, and felt that it would be obvious to anyone who cared, as it was to you. And I do understand that there are bad users of www.googleapis.com/. The question I have is how does that relate to using Thunderbird? BTW, a later attempt to send the e-mail that triggered the Bitdefender alert was successful, and I will communicate this to Bitdefender as you suggest.

The googleapis.com site is contacted if you sync with Google Contacts, either through an add-on like TbSync or CardBook, or with the native CardDAV option.
