How to manage bookmarks in Firefox for Android Beta

This article applies only to an experimental version of Firefox for Android (Beta/Nightly formerly called Firefox Preview) that's no longer supported. Please download the supported version of Firefox for Android at the Google Play store

Bookmark pages so that you can easily visit them later.

Add a bookmark

To add a bookmark:

  1. Open the web page.
  2. Tap the menu button (three dots).
  3. Tap the Bookmark icon.

Use the bookmark to navigate to the web page

To use the bookmark to navigate to the web page:

  1. Tap the menu button. Settings icon in address bar in android

  2. Tap 57 library icon Your Library
  3. Tap Bookmarks and find the bookmark that you have saved.
  4. Select the bookmark to be taken to that page.

Remove a bookmark

To remove a bookmark:

  1. Tap the menu button. Settings icon in address bar in android

  2. Tap 57 library icon Your Library
  3. Tap Bookmarks and find the bookmark that you have saved.
  4. Tap the three dots to the right of the bookmark name and select Delete at the bottom of the menu.

Alternatively, you can open the page, tap the menu button (three dots) and tap the Bookmark icon so that it’s no longer selected.

Find existing bookmarks

To find an existing bookmark:

  1. Select the menu button,
  2. Tap 57 library icon Your Library
  3. Tap Bookmarks.
  4. Scroll to find the bookmark that you have saved.
Tip: If you visited a page and did not bookmark it but wish to open the page again, select the menu, Library and History to see the pages that you have visited. Select the page you wish to open to view it.

Manage bookmarks

To put a bookmark into an existing folder:

  1. Tap the menu button. Settings icon in address bar in android

  2. Tap 57 library icon Your Library
  3. Tap Bookmarks to find the bookmark that you saved.
  4. Tap the three dots next to the bookmark.
  5. Tap Edit.
  6. Tap Folder.
  7. Tap one of the existing folders.
  8. Tap a few times the FirefoxPreview-Back-Icon arrow at the top of the screen until you return to browsing the web.

To move a bookmark to a new folder:

  1. Tap the menu button. Settings icon in address bar in android

  2. Tap 57 library icon Your Library
  3. Tap Bookmarks to find the bookmark that you saved.
  4. Tap the three dots next to the bookmark.
  5. Tap Edit.
  6. Tap Folder.
  7. Tap the FirefoxPreview-Plus-Icon sign to create a new folder and enter a name for it when prompted.
  8. Tap the FirefoxPreview-OK-Icon sign to create the new folder. The bookmark will be moved into it.
  9. Tap the FirefoxPreview-Back-Icon arrow at the top of the screen a few times until you return to browsing the web.
