I'm trying to setup 2fa on my account. It requires sending a code to my email which I then use to verify. These codes consistently are sent outside of the time window and as a result expired. I've added accounts@firefox.com to my contacts, and I've tried this on firefox desktop and firefox mobile on an iphone, and both produce the same results.

I'm on a gmail account and gmail flags these emails as suspicious despite being added as a contact, which likely means they are poorly formatted. Despite this flag, they are still sent to my inbox when they finally arrive.

This is incredibly frustrating as this is a service provided by basically every company and yet I have never seen it perform this poorly as it has with firefox.

I just moved from Windows 10 to Linux Fedora Workstation and I used the "Back up and restore" option in the Sync Tab available in Firefox on Windows 10 to save my data in the form of a unique html file. (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-backup)

But now that I'm in Firefox on Fedora, this option does not seem to be available (in the Sync tab in Settings). Is there any way I could at least recover my bookmarks ?

I'm using Firefox 147.0.1 from the official Federa repo.

i cannot install lastpass extension anymore, unless i update to latest firefox version.

this will force me to switch browsers to Chrome or Opera.

I don't like being forced to install the latest firefox.

I intend to stay with older versions that work better.

It has always worked great until now, but it seems that it no longer works with Firefox 147.0.1. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Recently Mint upgraded my FF to v147 - possibly relevant, possibly not. There's no post mentioning anyone having this issue on the Mint forum though.

In my Settings, "Open previous windows and tabs" is definitely enabled, but it doesn't happen. I only get my homepage custom URLs.

I went into troubleshooting mode and FF then behaves.

So I figured the issue must be with an extension - but I disabled all my extensions, and it doesn't help. Only going full troubleshooting mode fixes it.

What do I do next please?

I had bookmarks and backgrounds and everything saved on my browser. My mac book died and now when i open it everything reset. I didn't have any profiles or sync on but why did everything reset. And am i able to get what I had back.

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I am using Firefox 146.0 (64 bit), canonical-002 - 1.0 on Kubuntu 24.04.

The browser will not store credit card information. If I enter correct information into a Web site, Firefox correctly queries whether I want to save this information. Clicking "Save" closes the dialog but when I look at "Manage payment methods" in Settings nothing is saved. Attempts to enter the information at this point fail as well. Note that the check box "Save and autofill payment info" is set.

I am running Firefox 147.0 on Fredora KDE Version 42 and the problem has just started, when entering the two of the Bookmarks Toolbar Folders I can access any bookmark that is not is a folder but it cannot access any internal folder containing bookmarks. This has just started today and only affects two of the Bookmarks Toolbar Folders. any help will be gratefully received. Phil
