My Firefox browser is somehow corrupted with foreign language features. See in the picture that much of the text is in English - the selected and preferred language. It is what the Settings are set to. But notice that bits and pieces are in some other language. I recently made a trip to Spain and used translation features while there - but those was all reset to English. I've gone into Troubleshooting mode; I've restarted; I've reset and restarted. But I can't seem to get rid of the gibberish. WTH!!!! All copies of Firefox, on all owned Mac machines (i-Phone; Mac Mini; I-Mac Pro; I pads) are set to English. About the only thing I haven't done it uninstall and reinstall Firefox. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I cannot open any Games on the NY TImes site with FIrefox for the past month; no problem with Chrome. Today, two article links opened but then the page went blank (repeatedly), while other links worked fine. Again, no problem with Chrome. My wife can't get into proxyvote.com with Firefox--again, a blank screen. Where is this weirdness coming from?

I use a MacBook AIr with OS 14.4.1 (Sonoma) and want to add a short cut link to Proton Mail (Free version) that I can put in my MacOS Dock. I am using Firefox 125.03 version.

I used to have a link in my Mac Dock but then I tried the trial of their desktop app-- and when that ended recently, I did not know how to set the Dock link up again. I tried directions for other browsers but they did not help.

'The link I want the short cut to go to is' https://account.proton.me/mail so I can sign right in to check my email.

So I checked Proton's support site for help but it has directions to do this ONLY from Safari and another browser, NOT Firefox.

If you can give me some straightforward directions to add the shortcut to Proton Mail sign in back to my Mac Dock, I would be grateful!

About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

I am using theme called WhiteSur to imitate Safari, as that is the browser layout I prefer. However, this doesn't change the position of the close tab button and leaves it on the right hand side. I found a way to change it, using the code .tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {

 margin-left: -5px !important;
 margin-right: 2.5px !important;

} Unfortunately, this doesn't change based on the size of the tab, so if I set it to a size that is good for only having 1 tab, it will look bad or be off the screen for the other amounts of tabs. Is there a way to detect the width of the tab or the amount of tabs open and dynamically set the margins based off of this? So I could set it as (width-of-tab)-x and that would always keep the close tab button in the same spot, regardless of tab size. Thanks!

I can login from other web browsers, but not Firefox. What's going on?

I have tried several suggested fixes to get the Washington Post website to work properly, including reloading Firefox. Links within the site fail to load, pictures are hazy low-resolution, sometimes content doesn't display at all, or does so briefly before going blank. The problem seemed to start after an update 2 weeks ago. I am about to give up trying to fix this, and choose another browser. I don't understand why the problem only affects the WaPo website, which runs fine on chrome or Safari.

Hi, I've been trying to get the Multi-Account Containers Add On to work on my computer for quite some time. Would be very handy for me. When I add the Add On to my browser the icon on the top right of the screen just won't show up. Don't know what I've been doing wrong...? How can I access the container settings someway else? I've made changes to my FF settings in regards to privacy via the recommendation from Sun Knudsen but don't really see an issue here. Thanks in advance!

Unlike Safari, Firefox doesn't autofill passwords or 2-factor codes. Please implement these features or tell me how to get them to work. MacOS 14.4.1 Thank you, Steve

Where are all the tabs for the research I was working on? I stepped out of my office for a few minutes and returned to a very proud message declaring that Firefox had auto updated and now better than ever. Only all my tabs are gone. Why does every other browser save and restore tabs when updating, but not Firefox??? Do I have to go back to Safari or Chrome? This cannot happen!!!

Headlines and other tabs are not showing text properly - Not even a different language - Example of the way a headline or tab would read: Vj cv)u"k# with other parts of the website reading is ok. Especially in the application Vimeo.

I have rebooted computer and confirmed it is something to do with Firefox because when I go and use another platform like chrome it looks fine, no problems.

The attached photo shows the startup page that appeared today, yesterday that page had 12 of my most frequent websites loaded in place of the ones you see now. This page keeps changing on me and it's infuriating to have to remake it every few months.

What is going on??

Having an issue going to TikTok.com I see the emblem when typing in the website then it goes to the message shown in the screen shot? I can get to it when using a private window though. Thank you for any help.

I have updated Firefox, refreshed Firefox, gone through Troubleshoot mode, cleared the startup cache, and deleted the "xulstore.json" in my profile folder.

Pls help this is driving me nuts + making me want to switch browsers. Thanks : )

When logging into an account there are multiple usernames (incorrect or older.) I would like to remove or delete them, but keep the current passwords.

Is that possible without deleting the account?

I have recently refreshed Firefox on my laptop running MacOS. Previously I had changed the full-screen-transition in about:config to be zero, but since refreshing changing the setting hasn't disabled the transition. My config is this currently: full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter 0 0 full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave 0 0 full-screen-api.transition.timeout 0 Despite everything being like before the transition persists... I'm currently on the latest version of Firefox (125.0.3)

So on my macbook when I enable fullscreen the anmation is super weird. first it stretches the video to the top and then just expands to the whole screen, when I go out of fullscreen is stretches to the bottom and then goes out off fullscreen. for example on safari it just expands the video until it takes up the whole screen. I have gone in about:config and disabled the fullscreen animation but that did nothing.
