Hello!

Started up Firefox today and these whited out boxes started appearing over my search bars and random part of the screen, such as the descriptions of different articles on my home pages, extension and theme information in my settings, and different tabs (see pictures 1 and 2). The text is also white, making it almost impossible for me to see what I'm typing or selecting in the search bar (picture 3).

I've already tried some tips that I found on the forums such as changing the hardware accelerator, making sure my extensions and add-ons were up to date, etc. When I go into troubleshooting mode, the boxes disappear and Firefox functions normally, but when I tried turning off all my add-ons and themes on the regular browser, the problem still wasn't fixed. I did a full refresh of the browser, hoping that would help to reset whatever was causing the issue, but that didn't help either.

Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

For a fraction of a second, the video shows what appears to be the initial display frame, then goes black. Audio plays. Displays OK on Chrome and Edge.

Is there a setting that tells Firefox to report why it makes its choices?

hello tried a few things from help docs on line. nothing working. just keeps happening. tabs will say gah. your tab just crashed. works for a bit but once happens.... have to close whole firefox and open again. just started happening yesterday. I have used firefox for many many years never a problem. Something was not updated right. Please tell me how to fix this once and for all. if not I have to leave using firefox this is driving me crazy. terrible. I don't want to use passkeys, and it seems that every site is checking browser support and wasting my time with passkey prompts before allowing me to log in with a password. How do I disable passkey support in Firefox?

Suppose that I have a 5 kbyte comment with multiple paragraphs, and I skip around copy and pasting from one place to another, and highlight some sentences and over write them either with typing or pasting. When I go to undo or redo some of these things, it causes a big screw-up in the text.

Other than it being my problem to recompose the damaged sentences, etc, what developers need to be contacted to fix the undo and redo functions of the YouTube comment input text controls for YouTube videos?

I can no longer use Duolingo (macOS Monterey 12.7.5) because the pages get stuck loading. I've cleared the cache and cookies for it and it still doesn't work. In addition, I've submitted multiple bug reports to Duolingo. Apparently the developers there pay zero attention to these. I want to use Duolingo on my iMac and I love using Firefox as my browser. I isolated weird audio distortion when playing you tube videos to Firefox browser. Watching video from non YouTube sites does not have a problem. Watching you tube videos on Microsoft Edge browser does not have any distortion. Appears to have happened after latest 6/14/2024 update

Twitch shows error 2000 when I'm trying to watch a video on it. When I watch lives, no ploblems happen. It loads the videos with VPN on. Also other browsers like Edge load videos without VPN.

I eventually tried Microsoft Edge and the 'create an account' form was available straight away. Please can you advise if I am able to access this website using Firefox and how?

Hi, I would like to know which version of Mozilla used this setting of network.trr.excluded-domains: 'sbl-xbl[.]spamhaus[.]org, localhost.that.never.exists'. The default is 'undefined' as I checked in 127.0.1 and the older 124. I also contacted support of extensions that I used, no evidence of both excluded domains. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot \!o!/

Now to the problem: Various pages have no favicon in Firefox when I drag them into the bookmark bar as a bookmark. However, when the page is active in the tab, a favicon is visible there.

The problem does not seem to be unique to me. Several people have tested it. It also seems to be a problem in Firefox only. In other browsers, this problem does not occur.

What can website owners do to fix this problem?

am running firefox 127.0.1 on a windows 11 desktop. Numerous sites that use a captcha to login fail. In other words, the captcha never loads and I cannot login to those sites. Such sites include teamfaderpro, Coursera, and bandcamp. All logins fail as the captcha is required to be passed prior to logging in, but the captcha never appears and so when I try to log in, nothing happens and I cannot login.

I have tried the above same sites on the Edge browser and have no such issue, the captcha shows and I can login.

Just FYI, the agent switcher setting change recommended by others previously is not suitable. When I tried that fix I was unable to access a considerable percentage of the internet due to some cloudflare issue, so the agent switcher setting is not an option. So far, I have tried all recommended settings to fix this issue and nothing has worked.

I am surprised no one else is having this issue.

Any help is appreciated, or at least inform google/mozilla about this issue as it has been ongoing (on and off) for me for many months. And yes, this problem is persistent for me at the moment, it remains despite rebooting windows, despite clearing cookies and cache (which I have set to automatically delete when exiting firefox).

It worked well yesterday and then it updated to 127.0.1 and now i can not open it. I get XUL Runner not compatible. It is on a windows 10 computer.

All my information bookmarks and passwords, but I have no way to get to them, uninstalled and reinstalled, but the new one doesn't look like the old version, and none of my information is there. I have tried copying the profile folder from and pasting it in the folder. but still nothing. I have it set as default, but the new one wants to be default, so when I go to make it my default I have 2 Firefox to choose from along with chrome, and edge.

My other problem is I have been using Firefox for probably 20 plus years, so there is a lot of saved stuff, but not sure what my previous user name and log in was. I have downloaded and older version and of course i updated also. I have a Firefox that works now, but not the one with all of my information.

Sorry if this makes no sense, no really sure how to explain it differently.

Can some one please help me figure out how to get all my bookmarks and passwords back?

I'm using the Firefox Multi-Account Containers extension and it's great. I have a number of containers manually created and use them according to my personal preference. No sites are associated with containers via settings, it's always manual.

Among those containers there's one I use for all things Google (Gmail etc). Which was great, as it allowed me to use both my personal Google account and G-Suite integrated with the workplace's SSO by simply using a default container for work stuff.

I updated Firefox to version 127.0.1, after which I discovered that clicking on Google Docs links in external applications now opens a tab in that custom container I created for my personal use. Which is clearly inconvenient, as most Google Docs links I open are work-related, so my personal account has nothing to do with them. Opening same links from within Firefox, e.g. by clicking on a bookmark, still opens a default container tab.

As I mentioned, there are no explicit association between Google links and that container, the "Limit to designated sites" option is switched off.

Is there anything I can do to revert back to the old behaviour, which is opening every external link in a default container?
