I can't sign in to my e-mails even though details and password are correct

I go through Mozilla bookmarks to MSN sign in. On many occasions I get Mozilla not responding. When I click on sign in I put in my e-mail address and password and click sign in, but nothing further happens. This only happened today. In the past it has been OK.

When you log in, has the domain changed to live.com? It's a little confusing how Microsoft's services are offered through many different domains.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

This can take a few minutes to run if you have a large hard drive.

(2) Remove the site's cookies

Save any pending work first, then, while viewing a page on msn.com or live.com, as appropriate:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Select each cookie and click Remove. Then OK out and try reloading the page. You also can change the site listed at the top of the dialog to list cookies for the other site (msn.com or live.com, as appropriate).

Can you log in and get to your mail?
