Every time go to Firefox home page (clear browser settings), I get "Account Disconnected" message.

I have another PC with the same Firefox browser homepage and do not have the problem.

Help or suggestions appreciated. TU for reading.

Hello,

It is most likely that it Firefox is configured to clear active login data after clearing the data. here is a way to fix it :

Click the menu button, then go to history, then go to clear recent history, but dont clear it. Click the arrow next to details, then uncheck "Active Logins" and "Cookies.

Thanks for reading and for your reply. I went to the menu button, then history, but there is no 'details' option. Under 'recent history' there is a lengthy list of sites I have visited; nothing else in that list. I also tried 'manage history'. Again, there is nothing but a list of sites I have visited.

Lacking anything else to try, I clicked on 'clear recent history'. This is what I get: [see below]

Seems to me I want to delete ALL the things in that list. As I said, There is another desktop Windows 11 PC on my home network, and I do not have this problem on that.

Also, on this PC (the one with this problem), I have to go through hoops just to log back onto my Mozilla account -- I have to figure out each time how to accomplish that because initially, I keep getting a 'crash alert' message.

If relevant, I note that I do not want to use the cloud (I feel Microsoft or Google are too intrusive for my taste) to store anything, and therefore do not want to sync to my Android phone, where I use Firefox, as well.

Another thing: I believe I have things set up so that all this data (e.g., cookies, etc.) is supposed to be deleted every time I close Firefox. That does not seem to happen inasmuch as I still see stored data when I open the delete browser data screen.

Please help. I think I previously tried reinstall w/o success. I certainly do NOT want to lose my bookmarks, address book and all the messages I have yet to delete.

Thanks.

I have the same issue. Perhaps it's because I installed Linux Zorin OS on the same laptop a week ago and signed -in via Firefox on that device? This morning I logged back into Windows 11 for the first time in a week, and that's when I hit the problem.

It actually says "Account Disconnected" What ????

Yes, it did. For some reason I cannot fathom, the problem has rectified itself: nothing I did to remediate it worked -- it just stopped. So, at least for the time-being, all seems okay.

Good luck w/ your issue(s). 👍
