Operating system: Windows 11. I had previously logged into my account on Firefox and enabled automatic sync on my previous computer. The day before yesterday, I reinstalled the operating system and downloaded Firefox. After logging in, my bookmarks did not sync automatically. I manually synced several times, but to no avail. I waited for some time for automatic sync to occur and checked if the bookmarks would sync locally, but they still did not sync. So, I tried logging into Firefox on my computer using my Firefox account on my phone. This successfully synced the bookmark information on my phone, but it was already out of date. Additionally, Firefox on my computer displayed an option to sync information and tabs with Firefox on my phone, but upon observation, I found that the sync was not complete. The information and tabs on my computer/phone were from a day or two ago, and even after manual sync, they were not updated. I hope to sync the server's bookmark information back to my local device!

Did you take a backup of your Firefox profile before you reinstalled the operating system?

No, because I also directly reinstalled the system before. After logging in to the account, I can also synchronize bookmarks back to the local device
